[New Fanfic!!!]
[Starting as a Class 5 Mutant]
Watching Biskin, who had been reborn, completely disappear into the vast sea, Zyhark briefly sorted out his emotions and began to plunder the treasures aboard Krieg's pirate ship.
Hearing that many valuables had sunk into the sea during the recent battle, Aqua, who values wealth as much as life, panicked and plunged into the sea to salvage them.
For her, who can move freely in water and see clearly in the dark, this was no difficult task.
Zyhark didn't bother to interfere and turned to help King transport the treasures floating on the sea surface.
After all, as a fleet that had dominated the East Blue for many years, Krieg's pirate group possessed treasures far surpassing those of Buggy and Crocus, including countless gold and jewels! Just transporting these items to the floating restaurant took a considerable amount of time and effort.
Thus, after a while, Zyhark and King decided to give up and turned around to untie the tightly bound underlings of Krieg's pirate crew.
Without Zyhark lifting a finger, King's terrifying visage alone was enough to ensure that the pirates did not dare resist and obediently started working.
This scene made Krieg, who was locked on deck, furious.
He wanted to curse out loud, but with his mouth gagged tightly with a foul sock, he couldn't utter a single word...
Soon, including the treasures Aqua salvaged, all of Krieg's pirate group's wealth was transferred to the Endless Dream, filling the spacious storage room to the brim.
The quantity was so immense that even the ship's draft depth sank noticeably!
It was at this moment, on the distant horizon, that two large naval ships flying the flags of justice appeared.
The navy they had contacted earlier had arrived.
"Ahahaha! Long time no see, Zyhark!"
To Zyhark's great surprise, the naval officers dispatched this time were two very familiar faces.
They were the cigar-chomping Colonel Smoker and the naval hero holding a bag of doughnuts...
Monkey D. Garp!
The Endless Dream was currently close to Loguetown, normally just a half-day's journey by normal sailing speeds.
Given that Krieg was a notorious pirate in the East Blue, and as the naval officer stationed in Loguetown, it was somewhat understandable for Smoker to come and take over Krieg's pirate crew.
But Garp's appearance was truly beyond Zyhark's expectations.
"Long time no see, Mr. Garp, what brings you here?" Zyhark directly voiced his curiosity.
"Hearing that it was the floating restaurant that defeated Krieg's pirate fleet, I guessed it was probably your doing," Garp laughed heartily, tossing a doughnut into his mouth, "This time, you've really taken down a formidable guy!"
His laughter contained a slight hint of astonishment.
Although he had long recognized Zyhark's extraordinary abilities, he had not expected that in just a few weeks at sea, the former village restaurant owner had grown capable of defeating a pirate with a bounty of millions!
"Just comparing to Mr. Garp, it's nothing but child's play," Zyhark responded with a smile.
"Hahaha! No need to be so modest, Admiral Krieg is the biggest pirate in the East Blue!"
Standing on the gangplank between the naval ship and the Endless Dream, Garp stepped forward unconcernedly towards the restaurant.
"Smoker, leave the capturing of pirates and tallying of bounties to your subordinates, come along, Zyhark may not look like much, but his cooking is absolutely delicious!"
"You old geezer, that's not really what you mean, huh? Also, my restaurant isn't your home!"
Watching Garp walk into the restaurant, helping himself to a glass of juice and starting to drink, Zyhark inwardly ranted.
"This glass of juice costs 700 Berries, Aqua, make sure to charge him."
Upon entering the restaurant, Zyhark immediately instructed Aqua.
Hearing this, Garp, whose temples were not yet completely white, immediately spat out the juice he had sipped, "Pfft! 700 Berries for a glass of juice? You might as well rob me!"
"It was you who said there's no need to be modest with you, Mr. Garp," Zyhark chuckled.
Aqua couldn't help but laugh out loud as well.
Using her keen senses, she realized in an instant that this middle-aged man, who seemed very familiar with Zyhark, was incredibly powerful.
The terrifying aura that permeated the air made even her heart skip a beat.
It turned out that this guy was just as carelessly foolish as Luffy!
"Mr. Garp, this is a floating restaurant, we should follow the rules here."
Draped in a
cloak of justice, Smoker exhaled a cloud of thick smoke, beginning to survey the layout of the floating restaurant.
"Hello Colonel Smoker, I've read quite a bit about you in the newspapers," Zyhark greeted, carefully sizing up Smoker.
Compared to the mature and steady Smoker ten years later, this Smoker had a slightly more youthful vibe.
And he was not accompanied by his adjutant Tashigi; they probably hadn't met yet.
"Endless Dream's owner Zyhark, I've also heard of your deeds," Smoker politely shook hands, sizing up the man of similar age before him.
"As a businessman running a floating restaurant, defeating several notorious pirates in the East Blue is truly admirable!"
"Oh, that's nothing compared to Colonel Smoker's achievements in Loguetown," Zyhark replied after a brief exchange, and they all sat down at a dining table.
Zyhark then began to introduce Garp and Smoker to a puzzled Aqua and King.
"So that's it, you're Luffy's grandfather, no wonder!" Aqua nodded in sudden realization upon learning that Garp's grandson was Luffy.
"Aqua, right? I often hear that brat Luffy mention you when I'm home on leave," Garp was oblivious to the true meaning behind Aqua's "no wonder."
Having already drunk, and with the attitude of letting Smoker pay, Garp gulped down the rest of his juice.
Putting the empty glass back on the table, he then turned his gaze to King, his deep eyes flashing with surprise.
"It seems, Zyhark, you've found yourself a couple of pretty good partners!"
Zyhark: "..."
Regarding Aqua and King, who both had fatal flaws in intelligence and strength, he really didn't know what to say, so he shifted the conversation:
"Speaking of which, Mr. Garp, you specifically came to find me, it can't just be for a simple reunion, can it?"
He already had a rough idea in mind regarding this question.
"That's right, I was actually waiting for you in Loguetown," Garp's face grew serious as he looked at Zyhark, "What do you think, Zyhark, how about joining the Navy? Your strength and talent in defeating Krieg's fleet in just a few weeks at sea are too wasted running a restaurant!"
Seeing Zyhark's hesitant expression, he continued to persuade, "With your current record of defeating pirates, you could soon become a commanding officer of a branch."
"If you're interested, you could even go to headquarters on the Grand Line and learn the extremely powerful Navy Six Styles!"
