As I sit here pondering it, I realize I hadn't really looked at it from that angle before.
You see, this academy is super exclusive; only about a hundred and fifty students get in. And here I am, the odd one out, getting in with a special letter from the principal.
With me included, it's 151 students total. Without exceptions like me, there would've been around 151 students entering.
So, by entering, I'm essentially taking away a spot that could've gone to someone else.
Sure, one person might not seem like a big deal, but in a place like this, everyone counts.
Even the least impressive students here manage to graduate and climb to the top ranks in their respective fields.
Heck, even the below-average ones could probably make it to B rank as an adventurer, which says a lot considering how risky that job is.
And let's not forget, they're all probably geniuses, having been educated practically since they took their first steps.
