Kage withdrew his entire spiden collection. He was not going to risk losing even a single one of his thirty seven spiden shadows.
In front of Kage stood every spiden from the next two branches. Just because they were called dungeons didn't mean the spires in each room were programmed to stay still when they were being raided. They were living beings.
Kage looked through the army of eighty high grade spiden as a realization washed over him. All of the spiden that were gathered had more than enough essence to rival his spiden collection.
The spiden all started rushing at Kage in an orderly fashion. The majority of the spiden were on the walls with the rest on the ground to try and hinder his movements.
Kage smiled as he dashed towards the spiden. It had been a very long while since Kage had gotten some action. So much so he had started to fear he had gotten rusty and after what shadow reaper did to him he had the right to think that. This was going to be his way of getting back into shape.
As Kage ran his shadow rose and started engulfing parts of his body starting from his leg without really swallowing him. Soon the shadow covered his entire body as his essence ran through and took shape.
His shadow took the shape of something he hated but came to admire due to the power it displayed. From the shadow rapped around his body a black cloak emerged. It wrapped around him perfectly without restricting his movements and covered every part of his body even casting a dark shadow over his face to make it unnoticably.
In one swift motion, Kage drew a shadow sword and sliced up five spiden while making sure no part of his body could be seen outside the cloak like someone was watching. He quickly got surrounded, then he pulled his hand wilding the sword out and rotated the sword in a perfect circle with that one hand managing to kill three more spiden. He then jumped off the ground while standing at the air multiple times. He had left a bit of his shadow behind which had taken the shape of him. Several spiden died from his shadow stabs while he was in the air.
Multiple spiden on the walls fired toxic webs at him in a large quantity he couldn't escape from, but when they landed, he vanished.
A shadow rose from the side of a random spiden as it was sliced in half. Then quickly spinning in a circle with his sword out he killed all spiden in the immediate vicinity. He threw his shadow sword into a Spiden on the right wall. As soon as the sword landed he appeared on top of the spiden still holding the sword. He pulled it out spun it straight and killed two spiden to the side before throwing the sword into the ground. Again he appeared wielding the sword as his shadow essence spread out causing multiple spiden to be impaled by shadow spikes made from their own shadows but that didn't kill them.
Leaving his sword in the ground he opened his arms wide and clasped the sword hard. The cloak lifted of his body as a shadow body appeared within wielding a shadow scythe. The cloak did a spin motion with the scythe killing all nearby spiden that were impaled and held in place by the spikes.
The cloak returned onto his body as he sunk into the ground with his sword. A second later the place he stood was littered with corpses and toxic webs. Just like that he had killed at least thirty spiden.
Kage emerged back at his starting point with a comment.
"Oh my, it seems I have gotten rusty." He said with a slight heaviness in his breath.
His shadow cloak then disappeared as his shadow opened up to let his entire spiden collection which had doubled in number out. He then started channeling his essence through each and every single one of his shadow spiden to boost their power and durability as he watched a war ensue.
The battle lasted way longer than expected. In fact it was still going on. The shadow spiden were doing massive damage to the regular spiden army. The entire corredor was covered in spiden corpses as the raging battle started coming to an end. Kage was gaining more spiden shadows but wasn't sending them into battle, instead he had them create pods around each and every spiden body left behind. He was going to give himself more essence without the painful procedure of absorbing origin cores, that job was for the shadows to grow stronger since they couldn't feel pain.
Soon the corredor cleared completely. There were no corpses, no stragglers and no ongoing battle. Knowing what's going to come next he despawned all his spiden shadows and started moving, leaving the pods to keep sending him essence.
He checked the two branches to see if there were any spiden left behind and surprisingly he found the large rooms with no branch commanders as he had taken to calling them. If they were among the army he or his spiden collection faught things would have gone differently for his collection. He checked the other side as well just in case and as expected it was as empty as the first. He then returned to the main corredor and started moving forward.
He walked for a few minutes and ran into some high grade spiden guards. Killing them was easy even though they had the most essence of all high grade spiden within this dungeon. He then continued moving as he finally reached his next destination. This time there weren't any branches, just a large opening leading to a larger room. Kage prepared himself to go beat the dungeon boss.
