Julius explained to the voice why he cares so much about helping Damion. Adam, Elise, and Joe are still debating whether they should go help Julius or talk to the guild about this.
Julius-"The plan is simple, I phase back down to Damion's cell and wake him up. I use my earth skill to create a tunnel for him to escape"
Voice-"A nice and simple plan but there is a problem"
Julius-"What is it?"
Voice-"If any of the prisoners had an earth skill, they would be able to escape. Meaning there has to be some other precaution to prevent that"
Julius-"There could be something like that, but we won't know for sure until we try"
Voice-"Very well"
Julius-"Special skill: phase"
Julius phases back down through the ground and re-enters the room with all of the documents. There is still nobody staying in the room.
Julius-"I left here about ten minutes ago so it should still be break time"
Julius flies back down through the halls of prisoners and guards.
Voice-"What about all of the other prisoners"
Julius-"The group said they will have the guild take care of them, I have to save Damion myself"
Julius arrives outside of Damion's cell and looks inside. He sees Damion taking a nap on the floor. Julius flies between the bars of the cell and floats down to Damion's ear.
Julius-"Sound skill: speak, (but very quietly)"
Julius's skill is activated and whispers towards Damion.
Julius-"(whispers) Hey Damion, Damion, wake up"
Damion groans and wakes up from his nap.
Damion-"(yawns) Next round already?"
Julius-"(whispers) Shhh be quiet"
Damion-"Where are you at"
Julius-"(whispers) Quieter, and listen to me"
Damion-"(confused) What?"
Julius-"I'm gonna get you out of here alright"
Damion-"If the next round is starting, just open the doors"
Julius-"The next round will be any minute now but I'm here to set you free"
Damion is about to make a loud "What" in response but Julius uses his sound skill to nullify Damion's voice.
Julius-"(whispers) You need to be quiet"
Damion-"(whispers) I appreciate the help mysterious ghost thing, but sorry I can't go"
Julius-"(whispers) I'm not a ghost, also why not?"
Damion-"(whispers) Leaving would just get me in trouble, I have tried before and it didn't work"
Julius-"(whispers) I figured that would be the case but don't worry, I'll make a tunnel through the wall for you to escape"
Damion-"(whispers) Cool plan but it won't work"
Julius-"(whispers) Why not?"
Damion-"(whispers) People have used an earth skill to tunnel through the walls before but they always get caught and returned in just a few hours"
Julius-"(whispers) But how do they get caught?"
Damion-"(whispers) Nobody knows for certain but the main idea is either they have someone who has a skill that can find people or each of us has some sort of magic tracker on us"
Julius-"(whispers) Can I check"
Damion-"(whispers) Check what?"
Julius-"(whispers) If there is a tracker on you"
Damion-"(whispers) You can try Mr. Phantom but even if we use the scan skills on ourselves we can't find anything"
Julius-"(whispers) I'm not a phantom"
Julius uses his scan skill on Damion and finds no tracker.
Julius in his head-"(whispers) I didn't find anything"
Voice-"Did you just whisper in your own mind?"
Julius in his head-"(whispers) I don't want anybody to find us out"
Voice-"In your own mind?"
Julius in his head-"...Oh yeah"
Voice-"Even if you didn't find it in that scan it's possible that the tracker could be hidden in a way that regular scan skills won't be able to find it"
Julius in his head-"Then is there anyway for me to find if there is one or not?"
Voice-"There must be an irregularity within him because if it can't be scanned there must still be a physical component"
Julius in his head-"Since I used the scan skill I know what he is supposed to be so I will use atomic reconstruction to remove any unnatural components within him"
Voice-"That could work"
Julius in his head-"It won't hurt him will it?"
Voice-"Theoretically no"
Julius-"(whispers) I have a plan to remove any trackers, theoretically it won't hurt"
Damion-"(whispers) Go ahead then"
Julius-"(whispers) I said theoretically"
Damion-"(whispers) Can't hurt worse than being here"
Julius-"(whispers) Alright, here we go, special skill: atomic reconstruction"
Julius starts using the skill on Damion's hand which causes it to glow.
Julius-"(whispers) Nothing so far"
Julius moves the skill up the arm and continues searching for some sort of inormality like an x ray at a doctor's office.
Damion-"(whispers) Well this certainly feels strange..."
Julius continues to the chest where he finally detects something.
Julius-"(whispers) I found something it is a very small object that seems to be attached to your heart"
Damion-"(whispers) Well take it out"
Julius-"(whispers louder) I can't take out your heart!"
Damion-"(whispers louder) Not my heart the object!"
Julius-"(whispers) Oh right, well here I go, special skill: molecular deconstruction"
The small object the size a single grain of sand is separated from Damion's heart.
Julius-"(whispers) Special skill: gravity"
Julius grabs the small object and brings it towards himself.
Julius-"(whispers) Special skill: atomic reconstruction"
As the small object is levitated towards Julius he separates the molecules between it and himself and then recombines the molecules behind the object so it won't leave a hole in Damion. Finally, the object is removed from Damion and now hovers in front of Julius.
Julius-"(whispers) This is it"
The tiny stone the size of a grain of sand has two tiny runes on it.
Julius in his head-"What are those runes?"
Voice-"One is a tracking rune and one is a rune that prevents it from being scanned"
Damion-"(whispers) It's that small?"
Julius-"(whispers) Yeah it's surprising how tiny it is"
Voice-"Tiny to him maybe"
Julius in his head-"Yeah to me this 'small' stone is planet sized"
Voice-"I'm surprised you agreed"
Julius in his head-"I have spent so long in those golems I almost forgot how small being an atom really is"
Damion-"(whispers) So we good to go?"
Julius-"(whispers) Yeah, you seem to trust me a lot"
Damion-"(whispers) Well, if you are planning something it can't be worse than being stuck in this arena. Although, you bringing it up like that makes you slightly less trusting"
Julius-"(whispers) Sorry, let's get you out of here"
Julius flies up to the wall about to use his earth skill.
Guard-"Hey curseborn, get up!"
Julius looks over and sees that a guard has come over the cell.
Julius in his head-"Oh no, did they find out I removed his tracker already!?"
Guard-"It's time for the next round to begin"
Damion-"You sure you can't just wait another minute or two?"
Guard-"No! Get up now!"
Damion-"Alright, alright"
The guard opens the cell, Damion stands up and is pulled out of his cell and pushed forward.
Guard-"Hurry it up"
Damion-"I'm going, I'm going, jeez"
Damion and the guard head down the hall.
Julius in his head-"Darn it we took too long, the break between rounds is over"
Voice-"He is a champion here right, besides if he dies he should just end up getting revived correct?"
Julius in his head-"I hope you're right"
