There was only silence for a moment, Alyssane glanced at Kazmun and he gazed back with a small frown on his lips, "Why would you think that?"
Alyssane shook her head, dismissing the thought. "Nothing," she murmured, remembering some faint memories from the past. He did feel pain, she knew, but for some reason, her thoughts did not seem entirely false either.
'Perhaps there's more to it…'
She applied the herbs to his wounds, her fingers brushing against his skin as she worked. The contact was brief, but she felt the slight tension in him, a subtle reaction that made her pause.
'Is he in pain now?'
Alyssane resumed slowly, careful to not make the injuries hurt more. Her cold fingers brushed against his warm hardened skin. The firmness made her feel strange, stirring an unfamiliar sort of tension she could not quite understand.
'His legs look really strong.'
She glanced at the herbs in her palm and frowned.
