The faint echo of the crumbling debris soon faded into nothingness.
Kazmun stood at the edge, staring into the abyssal darkness with a frightening gaze that made Branson as pale as a ghost.
"Commander," Kazmun said.
Branson flinched, startled, halting his nervous pacing. His gaze flickered toward the Crown Prince, apprehension etched into his face. The air between them thickened, heavy with tension.
"Y-Yes, Your Highness?"
"Gather the knights," His voice held a chilling calmness, "There must be a way that leads to the bottom of this place, scour everything, your next mistake would be your last."
Branson swallowed hard, nervously nodding before he hurried away. Kazmun, on the other hand, didn't move, his gaze fixed on the void below.
The emptiness stretched before him seemed dark and endless.
And yet, he could feel her. Alyssane was somewhere down there.
'That should be impossible.'
