Alyssane walked through the heavy wooden door of the Whisperer's Den, the sound of creaking hinges swallowed by the bustling noises.
She had never stepped in the tavern again after her meeting with Nora, and now, the tavern was filled with hundreds of people. The air was thick with mingling scents of alcohol, sweat, and perfume.
Alyssane pulled her hood lower and carefully pushed her way through the crowd. Her head felt light because of all the noise and laughter.
'Whisperer's den? More like a fish market! How could anyone have any serious talks here?'
She had heard from Nora that the tavern was frequented by the rich folks who did not want their darker deeds to be found. But seeing the crowd, Alyssane felt as if anyone could overhear anyone.
'Would Kazmun really visit a place like this again?'
