Alyssane felt Kazmun's hand around her, and a burning ache seared through her heart.
She could not hear what he said, nor could see anything but darkness as her body slightly shivered. 'Why is this happening? I only saw a small vision… what's wrong?'
"Alyssane," Kazmun's voice cut through the haze of her mind, "What's happening to you?"
She tried to speak, but a fit of coughing overtook her. Alyssane felt Kazmun stiffen. The hot blood stained her clothes, spilling down from her hands, a repulsive sensation that made her stomach churn.
"I don't know…" Alyssane gasped, "I don't understand…"
Kazmun's cold gaze narrowed.
"Let's get you out of here."
Alyssane nodded weakly, feeling a strange painfully soothing sensation in his presence despite the chaotic state of her mind. A few stationed knights immediately rushed to their aid, but Kazmun gestured for them to stop.
"Bring Lord Seraph," He commanded.
