The vision faded as quickly as it had appeared, leaving Alyssane cold and disoriented. Her heart raced, and she struggled to steady herself. She knew something was terribly wrong, but what?
'What was that vision about?'
'Why does my heart beat so strangely…?'
Seeing her panicked expression, the knights exchanged wary glances but before they could say anything more, Alyssane was already leaving.
She brushed off the trickle of blood from her nose, her steps hurried, but her thoughts were strangely numb, confusingly quiet. It took her about five minutes to reach the Imperial Infirmary.
The lights were mostly all out.
Alyssane sharply knocked on the door, and after a grumbled response, the old physician answered. His robes were disheveled and his white hair messy, "What's the matter?" He asked, his voice laced with fatigue, "Did you hurt yourself again, child?"
