The courtroom was getting emptier once the session concluded.
"Alyssane," Lord Armin called out just as she got up from her seat, "Would you stay a moment?"
Alyssane nodded silently, remaining in her seat as all other officials started to leave. Some still glanced her way, the reactions were mixed, harder to read this time, leaving her feeling a strange heaviness in her heart.
'You will never belong here.'
After a few more moments, once all the officials had left the court, Lord Armin set the documents aside and looked up at her. "Not many would have caught the flaws in the proposed policy, let alone dared to speak out about them." He calmly stated.
Alyssane shifted slightly, not sure what to respond with.
A hint of a smile tugged at the corner of his lips, "But truth in this court is a dangerous weapon, more so for someone in your position, Alyssane."
