'Kazmun?'
Alyssane could not move, she could not breathe as she stared at him. But he only watched her as if she was a stranger. Half of his face was still covered by the hood―but those eyes, those shades of enchanting blue, she could see them clearly.
With a strange feeling stirring in her heart, she accepted his hand.
Alyssane staggered as she got out of the pit but before she could fall, he firmly brought her closer. Alysane slowly held his hand to support herself, and when she looked at him, she saw a pair of enchanting blue eyes staring back.
Her heartbeats halted for a moment. 'It is Kazmun…'
She nervously swallowed. But despite her unease, Alyssane also found herself oddly drawn to him, especially as he gently held her hand.
It was so unlike Kazmun. The silence, however, was the most unnerving.
