The sun was setting as they made their way through the dense forest.
Alyssane had been silent ever since the vision. Her mind raced, trying to decide if she should tell Kazmun. 'What if he blames me for doing something reckless?'
'What if he says I should have never attempted something I didn't fully understand?'
The thought made her stomach tighten. Alyssane still knew that it would do more harm than good if she kept something that severe a secret, but for now, she could not summon the strength to say what she saw.
Once she tells him about her visions, there may be more things she would be required to explain. Alyssane could only continue walking in silence, for now, even though her legs hurt so much they were starting to feel numb.
