Beep ~ beep~
The sound of the pulse oximeter device was a very good method of removing quietness in a hospital room. It was quite useful for those who found it hard to concentrate in reality and fell asleep easily when not necessary.
Adam was lying asleep on the sick bed, unmoving, unfeeling. His eyes were covered with bandages as well as his right arm. His pale skin was even paler, deathly to be precise. His dry, thin lips were pale as white sheets. His raven hair was tainted by the grey that ruined his youthful appearance.
But despite this, he was a beauty, even amongst the women of this century. His body looked frail, and his breathing felt painful. He was practically dead if not for him still breathing. His pulse was weaker and got weaker as time went on.
