[3rd POV]
"Ah, Mr. Caroc. How good of you to arrive early for your shift." An elderly man in his late 50s greeted Lloyd in their guard house.
"Yeah, didn't want to be late for my first job," Lloyd replied. "A quick question: am I the only night guard in this building or are there more?"
The old man, his senior gave a nod. "There are more night guardsmen but they operate on a different day than you. But yes, you will be the only one in the museum when it closes so don't break anything."
Lloyd thanked the man as he began changing to his uniform nearby.
Last night, before his encounter with the hobo and the almost rape victim, Lloyd got a job at a nearby museum for a night shift. This museum was partly famous for its exhibits in the fine arts and sculptures and low admission rate, making this place a hot spot for cultural trips and tours.
Lloyd was pretty lucky to have stumbled upon the job posting nearby. His credentials allowed him to be a temporary nightman until a more suitable applicant has applied.
So until then, he is the nightguard of this building.
"Still, I have to thank the manager for giving me this position. Even though I have no experience in being a guard." Lloyd admitted to his senior. His papers allowed him to get a basic job but a nightguard was a bit higher standing for his experience.
"Don't sweat it, kid. You'll be in the safety of the control rooms, we have cameras that cover mostly all the building, inside and out. And if you spot a burglar then call for help and lock down the building. It's all in the control room." His senior, Jacob Kint, lightly laughed at his junior's nervousness.
Lloyd also laughed, settling his nerves before putting on his uniform's final touch.
"Yeah, you're right, Mr. Kint. I'll do my best, sir."

The day's activities for the museum were brought to a close. Around 7 the museum announced its closing time and at 8, all doors were locked and the halls cleaned.
Lloyd passed by the janitor who cleaned his area and offered him some treats. It was a Casteliacone, basically an ice cream to the hard-working man. He said his gratitude and left Lloyd to his shift in the dark building.
The darkness would have uneased the young man from all the unknown anger the dark would bring but one of his powers was related to Ghosts so he wasn't worried about it.
Lloyd entered the room with surveillance screens, showing him the screen of every camera. It wasn't as big to over-encumber him but large enough to cover the entirety of the building and check the place's key spots.
Once he was in, Lloyd checked the monitors and activated his Plates. His outfit didn't change but his eyes and hair did, gaining a purple and pink look while waving slightly.
Lloyd activated his Mind Plate.
Once there, he suddenly felt invisible shackles in his head break away and felt he was free from it. He grasped at his hand, feeling the power course in his body and relishing the feeling.
"It does feel like I'm in control. Powers like this are described as loosely controlled, always acting out from the user's emotions or couldn't handle the amount given." Case in point, the ability to use self-healing moves on others.
There are plenty of moves that can heal others but the same can be said to heal only the users. A Leech Seed can only heal the one who did the move and only that Pokemon, the other team member gets nothing.
"But yet, I did heal that woman from her ankle. Recovery heals the user up to half its health and yet that move did heal her. Does it apply to the other healing and supporting moves? If I did Swords Stance on someone else, would they receive the buff or only me?" Lloyd shook away the thoughts and focused.
There is a reason why he activated the power of the Plates. It was to test his control of them.
With a simple command, a pulse of energy surrounded the room and instantly all the trash, crumbled paper, stains, and dust were gathered into a ball and thrown into a nearby trash can. A quick look and Lloyd can see the dirty room I was in is now spotless without an ounce of dirt on it.
"That was me using Psychic. One of the strongest moves in the type. I've seen Psychic users in the Pokemon Anime and game and know what they are capable of. But they were trained in the use of those abilities for a long time. I just got this power in less than a week and I was able to effortlessly clean this room by levitating all the stains and putting them in the can."
Lloyd commanded the chair near him to sit on as he contemplated his powers. So far, he has only activated 2 of the Plates and they worked perfectly with him. The knowledge of their moves and what they do were all in his head the moment he activated any of them. And the control for each of them was astounding from what was shown in the game and anime.
Or they were always like that. Lloyd recalled a scene from the anime he watched.
The scene from Gen 6. Where Ash was in the Kalos Region, the introduction of the Fairy-Type and Mega-Evolution.
At the tournament, Ash's Greninja was battling a Mega-Sceptile and was using Cut to take form into kunais of ninjas. A Normal type move was able to compete with a Mega Pokemon and dominate a super-effective move like nothing.
There was nothing like that in the game, fan-made or official, and was only for the anime. If Lloyd were to take it from the anime's side then the move-set of any of his moves would be usable outside of battle or could be used in a different way but same result.
Lloyd breathed a sigh. His powers were just amazing to him and he wanted to use them to the fullest of their power and his imagination.
A look at one of the cameras showed him a scene one would expect from a movie or a cartoon series. It was showing Lloyd a group of robbers wearing ski masks and shady attire trying to break into one of the windows of the building.
The normal procedure would dictate Lloyd into calling the police to arrest them for trespassing. But instead, Lloyd saw something else.
Opportunity.

The artifacts, items, and features in this museum can easily be found online or in other places. Paintings, sculptures, and even exhibits were shown in different museums around the world.
And yet, thieves still break in to steal and sell off the goods inside. If done right and the guard proves incompetent, the thieves would make with their loot and head out with no one none the wiser.
Unfortunately for them, they are dealing with a Pokemon Champion with the power of the Plates.
3 thieves walked smoothly in the dark hallways. Their faces were concealed with black ski masks and black gloves. They look like your typical robbers commonly found in cartoons and movies. Slung near them were massive bags, likely the place to store their ill-gotten gains.
Felix, still in his Mind Form, floated nearby and above their line of sight. Even though he is within striking range, he wants to see what the thieves consider valuable. As far as he knows, the exhibits shown in this museum were nothing special. A couple of unique attractions but overall worthless.
"The manager did tell me to be on the lookout. This museum is within the striking zone of most burglaries in the district." Felix whispered. "Anyway, the moment I see them stealing is when I make my move."
Rav was on standby and was about to call 911 on this and the cameras were shut down to ensure his powers stayed hidden from those who watched it. Felix was primed and ready.
That was when Felix saw them. A couple meters from his position he sees the thieves break open the cash register of the gift shop and stuff their bags with the money there. One of the thieves was busy emptying the register while the other two were simply vandalizing the place by destroying the merchandise and other items nearby.
The commotion was more than enough for Felix to act. "Rav, call them."
His watch lit up for a moment while he landed nearby and grabbed his flashlight. He didn't get rid of his Mind Form as it will be used against them.
Felix walked over to where the hooligans were and pointed his flashlight at them. "Huh, what the? STOP!"
The thieves looked at Felix in shock before they ran away from him. They ran as fast they could, away from Felix and towards the place where they broke in.
But then they all started levitating. The thieves couldn't touch the ground or have any control over what they were doing as they all floated. They all turned towards Felix as purple energy outlined his body.
"I did tell you to stop." Felix used the move Gravity. "Now sleep, Hypnosis."
