Luna's POV
Nina and I drove for some minutes, the city blurring past us. We finally pulled up to a bar where Dominick and I had been before. It was a small, nondescript place, tucked away in a quiet part of town. The familiarity of it gave me a sliver of hope.
"Do you think he might be here?" Nina asked, parking the car.
"There's a chance," I nodded, unbuckling my seatbelt. "It's one of his go-to spots when he needs to blow off steam."
We stepped out of the car and headed inside. The bar was quiet with a few patrons scattered around, nursing their drinks and talking in low tones. The air reeked of alcohol and the faint scent of cigarette smoke.
I scanned the room curiously. "Do you see him?" I asked Nina.
She shook her head. "No, not yet. Let's check the back."
We made our way to the back of the bar, past the pool tables and the jukebox playing a melancholic tune. There was no sign of Dominick there.
