Luna's POV
The air in the room grew thick with tension, as Dominick held up the remote. "One of my men is standing outside this door with an explosive. One click and puff?" Dominick's voice was cold, as he spoke.
Don Salvatore's eyes blazed with rage as he motioned to his men. "Back down. Back the fuck down!" His gaze then locked onto Dominick, his expression a mix of fury and confusion. "Why the fuck are you acting this way, Don Phoenix? I just want to check if it's in there." His eyes shifted to me, and I instinctively moved behind Dominick.
"You can take my fucking word for it. It's in there," Dominick growled, his grip on the remote tightening. "There's nothing to be afraid of."
Don Salvatore wasn't convinced. "I have a doctor here; he'll make it painless and quick."
Fear shot through me like a bolt of lightning. What were they talking about? What did they want from me?
