CHAPTER 10
Since they will be enrolling without a special pass, they need to take the admission test and pass it fairly. During the pass few months that Xie was under a deep cultivation, San Tong heard from Xiuxiu that the Hall Master allowed them to use their names to cover the identity of the two kids.
Xie will go with the name Li Xie, he will be guised as Xiuxiu's adopted son. While Bing Chuan will be Chu Bing Chuan, San Tong's son as he has the same bird type martial soul.
The four of them now are inside the car as they do not have much time if they walk to the Academy. The enrollment in the Sun and Moon Academy started at 8 in the morning at it will be close at 12 noon. It will only happen once a year for 4 hours. Currently it is already 11:45 and they only have 15 minutes left.
Luckily, they arrived 2 minutes before 12 and permitted to take the admission test. Xiuxiu and San Tong are left outside together with the other parents and guardian. The two of them hears the parents praying that their kid will passed, others are chatting with each other. However, the nobles are chatting within themselves and seems like they are ridiculing the parents. Well it is no new since many nobles are like that.
On the other hand, on Xie's side. There are almost 500 kids tried their luck to be admitted in here. While he was in daze in looking the other students, a middle-aged man wearing a suit appeared.
"Good day every one, I am Bai Tian Yi, your proctor for the whole admission test. To ensure the fairness of everything in here, I, the Dean of the Outer School, personally will take charge." It said. Bai Tian Yi, the Dean of the Outer School of the Sun and Moon Academy. He is also one of the 10 Elders of the whole Academy.
The Sun and Moon Academy is divided into 2 schools, the Outer School which will only cater the 6-10 year old kids. Once the kids reached 10, they need to take the promotion test to enter the Inner School, once failed to pass or missed the chance to take the promotion test, they will be expelled. For fairness purpose, only students who are 10 years old are allowed to take the Promotion Test.
The other is the Inner School, once a student manage to pass the test, they will become an Inner School student. In the Inner School, the Elders can choose their students and will be teaching the students himself. Aside from that, the Elders can take disciples among the Inner School students. Inside the Inner School, factions are everywhere, they are like sects inside the school.
"Currently, there are 500 student applicants here, but sadly, due to the requiremts for the first test, only few of you can take the second test. Now, the first test is to test your Soul Power." Bai Tian Yi said, and 10 set of Soul Power tester appeared and there are 3 people each stationed.
"The criteria to pass the first test was to simply have at least level 5 of soul power. Pretty simple, right?" Dean said. Many kids are dumbfounded, many of them did not know their current level as they only took it after the awakening ceremony, after that they did not have a chance to test their soul power again.
On the other hand, many noble kids have smirk on their faces. They are looking down on the kids that are too poor to take another test before the admission. The first testing of soul power was free since it is a necessary, however, taking it the second time will cost a fortune. While them, have already tested their soul power before admission.
The testing was divided in 5 groups of 100, Xie and Bing Chuan are on the 5th group. Since they will be the last group to be tested, they waste no time but to practice and cultivate more. Many kids saw this, so, they also started practicing. Seeing this, many nobles kids started chatting within themselves.
"Seems like there are people who does not their place and trying to make a fortune here." A brat said.
"Yeah, right! After hearing that those only at least level 5 are allowed to be passed, they started cultivating to increase their level. I believe if they are on the first group, they won't have a chance." Another brat added.
"But, isn't futile, the result will still be the same." The other kids mumbled.
Tian Yi noticed that many kids are really trying to increase their level. As a higher level himself, he can already see their current level. But what caught his eyes were Xie and Bing Chuan.
"Those kids are already at that level? There will be an interesting show to watch." he mumbled to himself.
It took 1 hour to test one group and around 4 pm, it was Xie and Bing Chuan's turn. They will be tested together with the noble who are ridiculing them and some common kids. The common kids are place from soul power tester 1-5, 6-8 are the nobles, while 9 is Bing Chuan and 10 is Xie.
The common kids failed to passed, this made the noble kids laugh. Then when it was the nobles turn, all of them have level 7 soul power and they are being arrogant like the other nobles on the previous groups. Among the all applicants, level 8 was currently the highest, and it came from the nobles. So having level 7 made them proud since it means they are only second to the best.
However, the arrogant faces of the nobles turned shocked and their faces became pale when they heard the next applicants test.
"Chu Bing Chuan, level 9 Soul Trainee. He is close reaching level 10."
"Li Xie, level 11 Soul Artist, close reaching 12th level."
Upon hearing this, the current 1st place, level 8 student shouted that they are cheating. When the Dean heard this, his face became dark, then he looked at the student who shouted.
"With me here, did you think that cheating is possible?" He said with an overwhelming aura. Even Xie felt it even though it was not meant for him. Much more to the other students. "Little brat, let me personally teach you your first lesson." Then he turned around and retreat his overwhelming aura.
