I offered a hand to him while still yelling out my apology out.
"Need a hand?" I tried to sound as less suspicious as possible.
I watched him stare at my Barney's hands before getting up nonchalantly himself.
What was his problem?
He did not even flinch, not a single bit when my hands were on his manhood.
Was it not synonymous with a crime to call that slim thing 'manhood'?
Did he perhaps see that I was ugly and fat? No, he couldn't have possibly seen that.
Barney's costume was even more bigger than I was and it had swallowed my fatness so what was the problem?
Perhaps he was as impotent under as he was impotent of expressions on his face.
"Sorry about the fall," I began again, feeling so guilty to do that to a high school boy.
But I could tell he was a senior. It was apparent with patency.
His face remained motionless and the same goes with his mouth. No words came out from it– not even a single tiny gasp of disapproval.
I made one last attempt to get him to talk because truly, you couldn't touch the dick of a stranger and not get some protests or flirtatious advances from them.
"I was about to call you to our stand. We make the best lemonade around here!" I shook with way too much enthusiasm while pointing at Sally's stand.
Wait...
Was Sally still monitoring me?
I glanced at her stand and saw that she was too busy now. The stand was crowded thus, I heaved a sigh of relief. Maybe I would get to keep Sally's job.
I turned my head back to the boy and decided– I would leave with immediacy from his presence when I was done advertising Sally's stand but what I found in front of me seized my breath.
He was standing just a breath away from me, his eyes still empty.
Cripes!
Target was not an insane patient who ran insanely away from an asylum, was he?
His hand, with speed, pulled off my mask.
Before I could even protest or dodge, he pulled it. My mouth was agape while in sync, my lips and brows curled.
I had no idea what to do than stare unbelievably at him under my large framed glasses and him, doing the same.
Finally, I saw a little change in his smug expression. His eyes, they dimmed a little.
Was my face that irritating that he could not even stand it?
My face was so ugly that this boy with an unchanged expression found a change when he saw it.
System, I could not wait to explore with you. To be rid of my physical shortcomings finally.
As unanticipated as the look on his face came, he walked directly back to the same spot where he sat before.
Worst, his attention was not on the spin on the wheel anymore. He was looking directly and intently at me.
What in the Godforsaken world was his problem?
Dear system, why such a target?
.
.
It was all so awkward that when I returned to Sally's stand, and answered Sally's numerous questions, the target's eyes never left me.
"I fell while trying to help a boy pick up his drink." I lied to Sally.
Sally was usually a person who easily believed whatever she was told. A credulous person would be the correct term to describe her.
"It worked, Cosima! I sold a lot." she grinned with satisfaction.
Okay, maybe my plan wasn't all that exploiting if it fetched Sally customers.
Knowing my intentions weren't to attract customers, I could only sheepishly grin in return.
Sally clapped her hands dismissively now. "Get back now, Cosima." she ushered me to join my colleagues.
More than happy I was to leave Sally and return dancing in Barney's costume. Not that my likeness to Barney was existed, but because I felt like a bad guy for exploiting Sally's kindness.
The world needed more people like Sally.
People like Mrs. Del Monte? Their heads should be severed from the rest of their body!
I was already dancing and twisting when the system dinged.
The sound was unexpected, and it caused me to jump, startled. The others might think I was merely going overboard to dance to the pop music playing, but I have skeletons in my closet now.
"You should have gotten used to this, Cosima." I reprimanded myself.
But then again, sometimes — we couldn't help but slack away and be forgetful of things even if they weren't alien.
Came the buzzing sound.
[Initiate bonus task?]
A question followed.
It was surprising how I could hear the system's voice clearly and soundly regardless of the, bumming music and noises in the funfair.
"Oh, with pleasure!" I danced with joy.
The bonus task was easier than the main quest and – it meant earning store points which, after accumulating, I would finally get the enchanting beauty fragrance I so much wanted!
I was more than excited by this positive turning point in my life.

"What?!" I almost screamed.
I think I did not 'almost' scream but actually screamed because my own snort got smeared on my face.
Unconsciously, I took my palm to wipe it but the only wiping I did was that of Barney's face.
Silly me!
I had to pull off the mask to actually wipe my face. It was when I wanted to put the mask back on that I caught sight of the boy once again.
His gaze was unwaveringly set my way, and he appeared so nonchalant and indifferent about it too.
Not even when I also gazed at him. Not even then did he avert his gaze. It was I who felt some chill down my spine from the colliding of eyes. In frankness, it was more like a colliding of glasses as we both have our heavily framed glasses sitting on the ridge of our noses.
But what the hell was his problem? It wasn't a crime to press the dick of a high school boy, was it?
