Chapter 1 - Chapter One

Chapter 1

Lu Fang looked at the young man on his knees; several bruises on his face, having several cut around his mouth, and blood dripping down his nose.

But all this hadn't satisfied his big brother yet, as his fist connected to the young man's face for the last time, making the young man land heavily on the floor while coughing out blood.

"You know, brother, he isn't responsible, right?" Lu Fang finally questioned, which had been dancing around his mind every month since they visited the prison to beat up the now unconscious young man.

He stepped forward, handing his big brother a towel to swipe off the blood from his hands.

"I know." His brother Lu Kong answered before facing My Fang

"But I can't touch the Alexander's nor punish them for the crime they committed," Anger visible on Lu Kong's face, returning the towel he began to walk away. "I can only vent off my anger on the rag the Alexander's use as a substitute for their crimes?"

Lu Fang looked at the unconscious man before walking to him. He bent down, looking closely at his face, before placing a card inside the man's orange prison shirt pocket and walked away.

"Hey, you're back, be careful."

Hayden rushed towards his cellmate, justin who was struggling to walk properly as he supported him in to his bed.

"Come on, justin, how long are you going to keep doing this?" One of his cellmates complained as he jump off his bunk and walks towards him as he lay on the bed, groaning continuously from the pain he felt around his body.

"They are going to kill you soon, and the people you are suffering for wouldn't even come for your funeral." Big Joe said, pointing his index finger at the young man on the bed in pain.

Joe was the oldest in their cell; he knew about everyone problems that brought them here, but he had never felt sorry for anyone in his life as much as this particular one.

"You need to wake up and face reality, Justin, before those Asian Chaebol fucking destroy you." Frustration could be seen in the eyes of Joe.

"Big Joe, calm down." Hayden said, grabbing his hands and pulling him towards the other side of the cell.

Justin laid quietly with pain surging through his entire body; he knew Joe was right, but somewhere in his mind he kept his hopes high, giving excuses and reasons why his wife and her family hadn't visited yet in 3 years.

He had to sacrifice himself for the sake of his wife and her family after his father-in-law was convicted for involvement in embezzlement of the Ling's Shipment funds.

And not even once had he seen their faces since he had gotten locked up.

He sighed, closing his eyes.

He was willing to risk anything for her happiness, even if his life is on the line, he thought before letting the exhaustion he felt swing him off to the dream land.

THREE MONTHS LATER…

Justin looked at the paper bags in his hands before taking a deep breath. His brain was still trying to analyze what exactly was going on.

He had just been released from jail on bail, according to the officers, but he had no idea who had bailed him out, as the officers wouldn't tell him.

"I hope we don't see you here again, mate." The officer said this before opening the door for him.

He walked out, dipping his hands in his pocket. He pulled out the card that he had kept for months now, his index finger slowly ceasing the edge of the card.

"Mr. Justin." A voice called out from the side of a car that stopped in front of him, and he immediately looked up, putting the card back in his pocket.

"I was asked to drop you off at Alexander's Villa." The man said this, holding Justin's picture in his hands.

Hearing the Alexander's family mentioned, caused a spark in his head. 'The Alexander's,' Justin thought. 'Are they the one responsible for my release? Did they finally find a way out?'

Countless questions popped up in his mind.

The car stopped at his destination. "Here we are." The man called out.

Justin was brought out of his occupied thought as he didn't realize he have arrived

"Thanks."

He came down from the car and walked to the gate.

He pressed the bell standing in front of the tiny camera at the gate; shortly after, the metal gate rolled away, and he made his way inside.

He walked towards the main mansion in fast pace; he couldn't wait to see his family.

"Jamie!" Justin screamed immediately as he got into the Alexander mansion, running towards the little girl who held a doll in her hands.

He picked her off her feet, wrapping his hands around her as he tried to control his tears.

"What's going on here?" A very young, elegantly dressed lady asked, running towards her struggling daughter.

She ripped her daughter off the man, confronting the now-sobbing child.

"Who the hell… " She stopped halfway, as her eyes widened in realization, while Justin stood, his smile not leaving his lips.

"Justin," she whispered.

"Sasha," Happiness filled the body of Justin as he blankly look at his wife.

They both stood there staring at each other for a moment, both lost in words.

A voice drifted over to their ear. "Wow, see who we have here? My sister's husband is back."

Mr. Alexander's first daughter named Lina, walk towards them with a smirk on face.

Lina turned to her sister before walking off. "Sasha, can I have a word with you?" She ignored Justin as if he was thin air.

"What's wrong?" Sasha confusedly asked, following behind her sister towards the balcony.

"What is he doing here? When did he get released? How did he get released? And most importantly, why didn't you tell us anything?"

Lina asked several questions at once, her hands on the balcony rail with her back against her sister.

"Calm down." Sasha whispered, rubbing her head slightly.

"Calm down!" Lina yelled.

She continued. "We have a business party today, and the release of your soon-to-be ex-husband is everywhere on the news." Lina yelled, throwing her hands up in frustration.
