Four Police vehicles with loud piercing sirens could be seen traveling speedily along the road to Manfe. The lucky villagers who witnessed this scene were both dumbfounded and confused at the same time.
"Are those cars? Wow, they are so beautiful" "But how can they move this fast, and what are those disco lights? " Why are they making such noises, are they spoilt? "
"I traveled to the city last month and was unfortunately enough to encounter one of those cars, so I asked my son about it and he told me, they are police cars. It's the car the police use in doing their operations such as arresting criminals.
" Aa okay, I have now remembered something. Not long ago, I heard there was a commotion at the police station. They said about 20 people went to file a complaint to the police about their missing children. Could it be that, the police have found the culprits and are heading out to arrest them?
"Damn it, if I had one of those cars, I would have surely followed them to witness the scene myself.
There was a loud discussion among the villagers as the Police vehicles made their way past them. Some were shocked, while others were overjoyed, all stemming from the fact that this was their first time witnessing such godly cars.
It should be known that the police have been in this village for quite a while but they have never brought out their vehicles for any operations as those operations didn't warrant the use of the vehicles.
Oframasi, being a small village even among its neighboring counterparts has always been peaceful. The crimes that the villagers usually reported were all about stealing and sometimes disputes about lands. There has never been a case such as a kidnapping.
Thirty minutes later, the police cars came to a halt, a distance away from where an unmoving bus stood. Barrack immediately alighted from his car and made his way toward the unmoving bus. The more he approached, the more shocked and confused he became. Not only he but all the officers were equally shocked and amazed.
" What occurred here? And who is responsible for this? That was the question ringing in their heads.
He could see six people lying unconscious on the floor. After closer inspection, he saw traces of battle. " Sir, There are unconscious children on the bus," One of his subordinates said.
Barrack stood up as he made his way to the bus. On arriving, he noticed about six to seven children sleeping peacefully. No, more like them being unconscious. He didn't need to think twice as everything became crystal clear to him.
The men lying on the floor were the criminals. "Arrest them all" he immediately ordered his men. "Teams 2 and 4 escort the children back to the station. The rest of you, escort the criminals. " Yes Sir!" They saluted.
Subsequently, the police officers carried out their duties in an orderly manner as some took out their handcuffs while others made their way to the bus. In less than three minutes, the roaring sound of the vehicles could be heard as they made their way back to the station.
"Hello sir, mission accomplished" Barrack took out his walkie-talkie and relayed the success of the mission to his boss. "This! Good! You have done a good deed. The higher-ups would surely take notice. Waiting for your arrival" Sergent Quaye was amazed. It hadn't been an hour since they moved out, so how could they finish the job this soon?
He wanted to know what happened so badly but he knew he would surely get his answers. Therefore, he suppressed the urge as he assured his subordinate.
After taking care of Hawk Eye and his gang, Yebou took out his phone and dialed the police emergency number. "Hello, I'm speaking from Manfe. I think there is a battle ongoing and it has something to do with the kidnapping of children" Yebou reported. "Please can you give the exact location? The other side replied.
" It would take about 2km from the intersection point to this place. There is a deep forest located on your right side. Upon arriving, there is a huge rock, roll the rock over. You will find a building underground."
"Be careful as I still think they have reinforcement." 'Thank you" the other side replied.
Yebou let out a long sigh as he disconnected from the call. Performing good deeds is surely not easy. He said helplessly.
