Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 Just Returned for a Few Days, and Already Making Advances Twice

As Lena tried to leave, the man, seeing the drug take effect, refused to let her go. He wasn't about to let his catch slip away.

The man yelled, preventing Lena from leaving, but as Lena's consciousness began to blur, she managed to give him a slap before losing complete awareness.

Perhaps it was too forceful; Lena fell back onto the sofa.

Alice, at the bar counter, heard the commotion and hurried over.

Grayson was the first to react, lifting Lena from the sofa.

"Let her go!" Alice, seeing a stranger holding Lena, shouted angrily.

Maybe Alice was too anxious, her voice too loud. With her remaining consciousness, Lena whispered to Jojo, "This is Grayson."

"Grayson, what's going on?" Charles asked.

"Tomorrow, I don't want to see this person in the capital!" Grayson said coldly to Charles, his voice tinged with anger.

Grayson carried Lena out of the bar, placed her in the backseat, and drove off.

As Grayson left, Alice became agitated, grabbing her bag to chase after him.

Charles, quick to act, stopped her. "Can't you see something's wrong? Why are you following them?"

Alice glared at Charles, wanting to kill him with her eyes. "None of your business, go away!"

Charles was taken aback. It was the first time a woman had dared to get angry with him. Interesting.

Meanwhile, Lena, once in the car, became restless. She began to complain of heat, trying to take off her clothes one by one, her consciousness fading.

Arriving at the hotel room, Grayson tossed Lena into the bathtub, turned on the tap, and cold water gushed down. Lena instinctively closed her eyes. The sudden chill helped her regain some clarity as the agitation in her mind eased a bit.

"Lena, are you so impatient to find men?" Lena saw the anger in his eyes. Grayson's face was cold, his gaze sharp as he stared at Lena.

"I-I didn't..." Lena couldn't withstand Grayson's intense gaze. She leaned against the bathtub, trying to stand up slowly. But before she could steady herself, she almost fell, closing her eyes nervously, expecting a kiss with the floor.

Instead of the expected coldness, Lena fell into a warm, sturdy embrace. Slowly opening her eyes, she stole a glance at Grayson.

"So eager to make advances so soon," his voice, cold, sounded above her.

Grayson encircled Lena within his arms, a mocking smile playing on his lips. His gaze was captivating. "Just returned for a few days, and you're already making advances twice. Is your fiancé not enough for you?"

"Fiancé?" Lena asked in confusion.

"Did I say something wrong?"

"Grayson, it's not what you think, I... I..."

"Oh? Then what is it?" Grayson pressed on, slightly angry.

His hand gently stroked Lena's face, their proximity intense. Lena could feel his breath on her cheek, igniting the hidden heat again. Lena, with her last shred of clarity, pushed away Grayson's hand, breathing in fresh air desperately.

However, the proximity was too close, and she could still feel his presence faintly.
