"Would you welcome~ our one and only red head maniac, youngest non-new magic user still, and underdog of the Abyss- Cayenne!"
"Or simple known as 'The Red'!"
How I missed that annoying ass voice~
I still have PTSD from that stupid water arena in the fucking ocean. I am so gonna find whoever thought that was a good idea, rip their dick off and fuck their ass with it.
And this announcer wasn't the announcer for that shit, so I didn't have my usual outlet for my cursing, still cursed a lot at the other guy.
Wasn't as fun though, stupid stoic faced bitch.
I walk out from my side of the arena, cracking my knuckles slightly, tuning out the clapping from the crowd.
A few months, that's how long its been, fighting every other day for my life, dying nearly every time, while planning for my escape. Its been rough, but I'm getting there.
Soon I will be able to escape.
I stop in the middle of the arena, ignoring what that bitch announcer is saying about my opponent, before their gate opens and out walks a tall, muscle head of a man.
He holds no weapons, just wearing gauntlets, but I do notice there is a crystal in each one, or half a crystal to be more accurate.
A Terrasphere. Just great, right before my break too.
-You know your break is like 2 days right. You are not getting any rest in that time-
My time is precious ok? if I get injured here it will impede on my intel gathering. Staying a few more months in this hell hole will actually make me go insane.
-You're already a psychopath-
I'm just quirky that's all.
I converse with Rot, ignoring the signal to begin fighting as my opponent charges me. I take a step back, leaning back a bit as he swings for my head, dodging the attack.
Can this guy not use magic yet?
I thought battles were supposed to be skill based on. Don't ell me this guy was beating his opponents with just his fists.
What kind of weak ass punks was this guy fighting to win like that? While I was nearly dying every fight?
I sigh and complain internally, spinning my spear from below, wacking him right in the chin, before spinning it once again, this time, the spear head aimed forward. With swiftness I stab forward and easily skewer him on my spear.
"Easy shit" I gloat, making sure to stab him a few more times for good measure after he falls flat on the ground. Made this mistake once before, other guy got back up and nearly killed me while I was walking away.
Made sure to bash that guys head in against the arena walls a few times for good measure. Grinded his face away before I killed him- literally.
Maybe I am a psychopath.
-Maybe?-
I walk away from the corpse under the bored applause of the audience, this fight was not interesting at all, even I will admit that, I return through the iron gates, and too the waiting room before my escort appears through some transforming walls.
He takes my weapon and chains me up using Old Magic once again.
Still havent figured out how to use Old Magic without blowing my limbs apart sadly. But I am memorizing any spells I see to the best o my ability for when I do figure it out.
We walk through the walls of the base, taking turns in seemingly random places of pure rock, the path opening in front of us as we walk. I have also been memorizing every path we take by counting how long between turns and the turns themselves.
Well, Rot has been doing that, gotta make him useful somehow.
So far he has memorized every path and where it leads in the base, the cells, the arena, the waiting area, the 'cafeteria' and so on. We have also concluded this place is indeed underground.
I easily got some guy I was fighting to shoot a spell straight up while in teh ordinary arena, the spell, instead of just flying into the sky and out of view, it stopped when it hit the 'sky'. Showing its artificial. very convincing to be honest.
It could be above ground and that was just a force field, but I doubt an organization of this manner would place its base outside of all places, adds unnecessary risk.
It will be much harder to escape though. Unless I can memorize that long ass teleportation spell, and then manage to cast it, which is unlikely, I only saw it once when teleporting from the auction to here, and I wasn't paying attention to it.
They hide it from us here, so thats a lost cause. My best bet is quite literally just forcing my way out through the bedrock. Or finding another way during my 2 day break.
Still find it bullshit that the most rest they have ever given me is 3 days. Like bitch, I get stabbed everyday let me motherfucking heal!
We finally arrive at my cell and they throw me in before saying a few words. "Two days." before leaving.
Such a bitch.
Tomorrow I can take a walk around a controlled area in the base apparently, and then meet other slaves. Definitely gonna throw us into a fight seconds after.
-Definitely-
Welp, might as well rest for now.

Anyway.
I'm feeling better, but not at the top of my game. So this was just a timeskip. I did write like 7 chapters on another unpublished story though. Was feeling very creative for that for some reason.
