And there were rewards I'd get for saving his life which included a certain amount of money. If I told the reporters that I noticed the man while I was present at this bridge, the cab guy would know that I was lying.

He was the one that drove me here, and from my reactions and what I told him, I came here for someone.

From my reactions, it was evident I knew the person wanted to do something wrong...

But what can I do right now? I can't tell the reporters the truth, so I'd have to tell them what I had in mind no matter the reactions gotten from the cab guy. Whatever comes.

So I answered the questions, "I was in a cab when I noticed him standing on top of this barricade a few meters away from us".

Then I glanced at the cab guy, held his right shoulder, and continued speaking,

"He was the one driving the cab I was in when I noticed the man".
