An elated expression appeared on my face the moment he said that. And I was like, 'Finally'.
That was the thought that ran through my mind, but this was what I said to him before entering the backseat of the cab, "Thank you".
And he was like, "Why are you thanking me? I'm just doing my job as a cab man".
In my mind, I was like, 'You wouldn't understand, just drive'.
I didn't say anything to him orally. The cab man was a young man according to what I was seeing, he seemed like he was in his late 'twenties.
Without wasting time, he put the cab in motion. The Virduff Bridge wasn't close by, so it was going to be minutes of driving before we'd arrive there.
All I kept hoping for was for the man not to have arrived at the bridge by now. If he'd arrived there already, then there was a very high chance he'd have jumped into the water before we arrive at the bridge.
