I was wondering which they'd prefer, to invest in separate businesses, or to invest in a particular business together.
Well, it was their choice to make, all I know was that I'd give them the money...
"Wow! That is a good amount to invest in something okay, thanks a lot". Mason said.
"It's nothing". I stated.
Now that I'd already told them the amount I'd like to support them with, I decided it was best to know which they'd prefer.
Would they invest in separate businesses? Or would they invest in one business which they'd manage together? Yes, I needed to know this.
So I uttered to them, "So, which would you guys prefer? To invest in one business, or invest in different businesses".
"I think we should split the money among ourselves and invest in different businesses. Why? Because it would be risky to invest in one business. If we invest in one business, when things start going wrong, there'd be problem 'cause that's the only business we have,
But when we invest in our separate business or businesses, when one person's business isn't going too well and experiencing some problems, the other person's business is there to help out,
In this way, we'd be unstoppable and can never fall back to square one. This is what I think". Jemima responded.
..That made sense, it was just too wise, she has a business mindset.
I began clapping my hands the moment she was done talking, then I said,
"That makes sense, I think that's what you guys should go for".
Then I glanced at Mason and inquired, "What do you think?".
"I share the same thought with you, what Jemima suggested is exactly how we should do it".
I nodded my head a little, then I said to the both of them, "I hope you guys wouldn't let this money go to waste. Though the amount isn't the biggest of the biggest, if you invest it wisely and work hard, you guys can change both your lives and your mum's life,
I hope you guys won't disappoint me, I hope you guys will rise from square one after this help".
"We promise, we aren't stupid, we've suffered enough to be really wise now. Opportunities like this come only once, and we'd make sure to make use of this opportunity properly, we'd make sure it doesn't go to waste,
It's just like the heavens sent you to us. After everything you've done for us, we wouldn't dare disappoint you". Mason said.
Then Jemima's voice resounded right after, "It's just as my brother said, we've suffered enough to be really wise now. The only reason why we've been in this situation for a long time was because we haven't come across this kind of help before,
As known, there's barely any help in this world. But now that we've come across this kind of opportunity, we'd make sure to use it well, it wouldn't go to waste. We wouldn't disappoint you, we promise".
..I nodded my head a little to their statements, from the looks on their faces, I could tell they meant what they were saying.
Then I inquired of the both of them, "So, do you guys have lucrative businesses in mind that you'd invest your share of the money into?".
"I already have one in mind, and there's a very high possibility it would do well". Jemima responded.
"That's nice". I stated nodding my head a little.
Then Mason's response came next, "I have multiple businesses in mind, but I haven't decided which I'm going to go for. But I'm sure I'd decide in the next few days to come".
"Okay. So how should I do it? Should I transfer the money to one of your banks, then you guys would find a way to settle yourselves. Or should I transfer the money to your respective banks now?".
"Transfer it to our respective banks". Jemima retorted.
And Mason was like, "I agree with her".
I didn't waste time collecting their bank details, then I transferred the money to each of their banks, $15,000 each. I saw the expression that appeared on their faces the moment they saw the credit alerts.
..That kind of amused expression, they were fucking happy.
This was an amount of money that had never been credited into their bank accounts before, and they'd just received it in their different bank accounts.
The feeling was just too good, and they were serious when they said they wouldn't let this opportunity go to waste.
"Thank you so much for this".
Yes, they started with the thanking again, and I was just like, "It's nothing...it's nothing".
But that didn't stop them from thanking me, they kept doing so until they were satisfied. Then Jemima glanced at Mason and said,
"Mum would be so happy to hear this".
"I'm telling you". Mason stated.
You know that happiness that comes from helping people, I was feeling it now. Yes, I've been hearing of it, but I've never felt it.
Now that I was rendering help to a family, I was feeling it to the fullest...
"So, would you come to the hospital again?". Jemima inquired of me.
Once tomorrow reaches, I'd have 6 days remaining to accomplish the quest. I need to start searching for another poor family to help out tomorrow now that I was done helping them out.
So I'm not sure if I'd be able to visit the hospital again. I didn't want to lie, so I voiced out,
"I don't think I'd be able to come to the hospital again".
"But my mum would love to see you again, even if it's just once". Jemima stated again.
"Okay, I'd see what I can do".
I only said that so we'd stop talking about it, I'm not sure that I'd be able to do anything...
I noticed a bit of smile appear on Jemima's face after I said that. Then I uttered to them once again,
"You both should give me your mobile numbers".
..And at that very moment, we exchanged mobile numbers.
I gave them my own, and they gave me theirs. I knew I'd most likely not be seeing them again, so I needed to contact them at some point to know how their mum was faring.
I needed to know when she was finally out of the hospital. And I might need to know how the businesses they invested their different money into were doing.
Were they doing well? Were they not? Yes, I might need to know this at some point. I know Jemima wouldn't be happy with me 'cause I didn't get to visit the hospital again after rendering the last help to them.
But it just had to be done like that...I had other activities to engage in. I told her 'I'd see what I can do' but didn't do anything, yes, it was just like I lied to her.
That might make her a little upset, but as said, it had to be done like that. I had other activities to engage in...
"I'd see you guys again, bye". I said to them.
"Bye". They uttered in unison with a kind of excited expression on their faces.
They both liked me, they'd taken me as family...if possible, they wanted me to stay with them for the whole of today.
But that wouldn't be possible, staying in this ghetto for the rest of the day isn't much of a good idea for me 'cause I'm not used to it.
I walked out of their house and began walking on the streets of the ghetto until I'd finished walking out of it. Then I made my way to the hotel and checked in.
I was in my hotel room right now thinking about the amount of money I'd spent paying for this room I was residing in. Everything had amounted to a few thousands of dollars in total.
..I was just waiting for the day when I'd get to buy a house of my own, so I can stop residing in this hotel.
It wasn't like the hotel wasn't nice to live in, it was so comfortable. But I'd have to be paying daily to keep residing in the hotel.
But when I buy a house of my own, I wouldn't need to be paying to reside in it 'cause it was my fucking house...I bought it with my fucking money.
It would be nice to buy my first house along with a car at the same time. Of course, I wouldn't be able to buy the house and the car on the same day, cars and houses aren't the same thing.
What I mean is that after buying a house and getting all the documents for it, then I buy a car not too long after.
It would be so nice...
