"Sky Slicer!!!" one of the CP0 agents shouted, sending a powerful Rankyaku kick clad with Haki in my direction. I simply responded with a powerful flying slash, cleaving the CP0 agent's attack in two. Despite their multiple attempts to disengage and capture the royal family, all their efforts were futile. My lightning powers gave me an absolute advantage in terms of speed.
Out of the three agents I faced, two had already showcased their Devil Fruit powers. One wielded the Paramecia-type Sabi Sabi no Mi, capable of rusting anything it touched, and the other had the Ancient Zoan-type fruit, which transformed him into a prehistoric crocodile. Despite their best efforts, they seemed inconsequential in the face of my Lightning Logia abilities.
"Thunder Dragon's Descent!!!" I bellowed. With the plaza mostly cleared of non-combatants, I began unleashing my large-scale lightning attacks. The crocodile form of the Ancient Zoan agent towered over me, standing at ten meters high and sixty meters long. Just as its powerful jaws were about to clasp around me, a massive pillar of lightning struck the colossal beast. The lightning tore a gaping hole in the back of the ancient Zoan, causing it to roar in pain and fury.
The CP0 agent of the rust fruit was more challenging. Although I knew that powerful Haki could counter the effects of Paramecia-type fruits, I did not want to risk using Sandai Kitetsu. Instead, I relied on my fists and lightning to pummel this particular foe.
"Donquixote Rosinante!!!" the CP0 leader roared as he picked himself up from the debris where I had sent him flying earlier. His body was covered in numerous injuries. He felt insulted because, despite three CP0 agents attacking me simultaneously, I still seemed to hold the upper hand. It was evident that I was holding back a lot, as their organization was already aware that both my brother and I were Haoshoku Haki users, yet we hadn't used that power since the start of the battle.
The battle had been progressing for almost half an hour now, with most of the plaza already in shambles. The civilians had been evacuated to safety, while the kingdom's army tightened the encirclement on the remaining assailants. Out of the original hundred-plus attackers, only two dozen or so remained.
I flickered next to the Ancient Zoan user and taunted, "Do you know there's a certain island in the New World where crocodile meat is considered a rare delicacy? Maybe in the future, if you survive this, you should give it a try." The CP0 agent was caught off guard. My speed was already overwhelming to them, and with my observation haki in the mix, the gap between us was insurmountable.
The CP0 agent with the Ancient Zoan fruit looked at me with a mix of fear and rage, his prehistoric form looming over the battlefield. "You dare mock me?!" he bellowed, his voice a deep rumble.
I smirked, my eyes gleaming with confidence. "I dare. Now, let's see how you handle this."
As I retreated, the sky darkened, and the air crackled with electricity. A massive lightning sword, black as night, began to form above us. The sight was both awe-inspiring and terrifying, casting an eerie glow over Fishman Island. The CP0 agents, realizing the impending danger, tried to rally their defenses, but it was too late.
"I hope you survive this!" I chuckled as I retreated. Immediately, a massive lightning sword dropped from the heavens, lighting up the entire Fishman Island. The black lightning cast an ominous feeling over the island as I unleashed a supercharged lightning attack that had been charging since the start of the fight.
"Raijin's Fury!!!" My voice echoed through the plaza as the colossal blade descended. The Ancient Zoan, towering over the plaza like a massive behemoth, roared in defiance. He attempted to evade but was paralyzed by the lightning corsing through him, and the sheer speed and power of the lightning were overwhelming.
The blade struck with a deafening silence, the impact creating shockwaves that rocked the island. Even before the blade descended, the residual ightning tore a gaping hole in the Zoan's back, causing him to roar in agony.
But then a scene that sent chills down everyone's spine happened. The lightning blade descended, creating a black trail of lightning, with each ripple sending out an ominous tone.
Meanwhile, the rust fruit user attempted to counter the attack by appearing on top of the massive behemoth's head. He spread his awakened rust ability wide, creating massive constructs using the fine iron dust from the surroundings that he had managed to morph using his fruit ability, thinking he could neutralize the lightning blade.
His hands, transformed into massive iron dust constructs, reached out to intercept. But the blade was unstoppable. It sliced through his rust constructs as if they were paper, cleaving him in half. The black lightning did not even pause as it continued its deadly path, beheading the Ancient Zoan in one swift motion.
The massive head of the behemoth fell to the ground with a resounding thud, shaking the plaza. The lightning blade then sank into the ground, causing a tremor that reverberated throughout Fishman Island. The barrier that protected the island groaned under the pressure, threatening to give way.
All around, the battle paused as everyone took in the scene. The once chaotic plaza was now eerily silent, save for the crackle of residual electricity. Fishmen and humans alike stood in awe and fear, realizing the sheer magnitude of power that had just been unleashed.
Elder Warcury, who had been rushing in from a distance, hurried towards the plaza, his face a mask of concern. "This power... it could destroy the entire island," he muttered to himself.
I stood amidst the wreckage, my eyes scanning the battlefield. "Shit! That was something that even I didn't expect!" I said, my voice calm yet anxious. I didn't expect an attack charged would be so powerful; if the fishmen island was not entrenched firmly on the sea floor, I feared that the island would have sunk.
However, to everyone's dismay, the lightning blade did not stop there and sank into the plaza. The next moment, a massive tremor that threatened to destroy the entire Fishman Island reverberated throughout the island. Everyone on the island held their breath as the barrier surrounding Fishman Island groaned dangerously, as if it would give way at any moment.
Everyone waited with bated breath as the barrier surrounding the island creaked dangerously, and the rumbling beneath the ground showed no signs of stopping. Tremors rippled outward, making the very earth beneath their feet feel unstable.
Even the remaining CP0 agents retreated to the edge of the plaza, fear creeping into their bones. They, like everyone else, were now more concerned with whether the barrier would hold rather than continuing the fight. All of Fishman Island held its breath.
Deep within the sea, colossal ancient Sea Kings stirred, sensing the entire Fishman Island shaking perilously. About half a dozen massive sea kings began moving towards the island, each one larger than the last. The smallest among them was more than 20,000 meters in length, their movements causing waves that could be felt even on the island.
After what seemed like an eternity, the tremors began to subside. The plaza fell into an eerie silence, the air thick with tension. Where the lightning blade had descended, a massive gaping hole now dominated the landscape. It was so deep that no one could see the bottom, as if the blade had cut all the way to the planet's core.
I stood at the edge of the abyss, surveying the damage. The remaining CP0 agents, now visibly shaken, hesitated to make any further moves. Their fear was palpable, and the realization that they had underestimated us is now glaringly obvious.
Katakuri, who had been fighting fiercely alongside us, now stood protectively near the royal family. "Looks like the show is over," he muttered, his observation haki scanning for any remaining threats.
Doffy, still burning with blue flames, grinned maniacally as he moved near me while dragging what seemed like the corpse of the CP0 agent he was fighting. "You really outdid yourself, little brother; I thought the plan was to befriend the Fishmen tribe, not to make them our enemies," he chuckled, admiration and pride tinged with his usual bravado.
His opponent, the ancient Zoan user, was now burned to a charred corpse, and the once-formidable CP0 agent was now reduced to mere shadows of his former self. The corpse was completely unrecognizable, and it seemed like Doffy had taken extra care because it was a Zoan type user.
King Neptune cautiously approached the edge of the hole, his trident held firmly in his hand. His face was a mix of awe and confusion. He truly did not know whether the humans before him were trying to help them or trying to destroy Fishman Island. Then Otohime stepped up, urging her husband forward to thank the humans, as she could not feel any ill intent from the two brothers who casually tossed a corpse into the hole to discern its depth.
"You... you saved us," he said, his voice trembling. Queen Otohime, cradling her newborn son, nodded in agreement, her eyes filled with tears of relief and joy. Although it may have seemed like Fishman Island was about to collapse, Otohime felt their actions were out of the desire to help, not destroy, so she knew the two humans were genuine in their actions.
However, just as we were estimating the depth of the crater my observation Haki picked up a massive presence that overwhelmed me. Instinctively, I turned towards the area where I detected the presence. It was comparable to the aura emitted by Roger, Whitebeard, and Garp at their absolute peak, maybe even stronger.
I couldn't tell for sure because I was still not at that level. I recognized it as one of the Elder Planets Topman Warcury, The Warrior God of Justice. Even my palms unconsciously started to sweat; although the distance between us was considerable, the pressure was palpable.
When the earlier CP agent mentioned that the elder would personally take action, never in my wildest dreams would I have guessed that an elder would personally come down to Fishman Island. This place was one of the worst places a Devil Fruit user could be in, surrounded by sea on all sides with no room for escape.
"No, it's the Lightning Logia. This power is similar to that of an ancient weapon. If the kid is left to grow unchecked, he will sooner or later become on par with an ancient weapon on his own. No, we cannot afford that. I need to eliminate him while I have the chance," Elder Warcury thought to himself.
The crater left behind on the plaza was similar to the one at Enies Lobby, which was created by an ancient weapon, albeit this one being much smaller in scale. With that thought in mind, he morphed and transformed himself into a massive Fengxi, a mythical beast, at the edge of the city.
Everyone was now alerted to the change as a massive behemoth, which was multiple times larger than the earlier crocodile, emerged on the edge of the town, towering over the buildings. Warcury prepared to eliminate the Donquixote brothers once and for all.
The sea surrounding Fishman Island would make sure that the Lightning user did not have any way to escape.
"What in the devil's name is that?" Katakuri, who always stood strong, showed signs of unease as the Elders' Haoshoku Haki spread out, engulfing the island.
I knew this was not something I could avoid. Even though I was completely outmatched, I had to stall for time to get out of this alive. Turning to Doffy in a hurry, I shouted, "Doffy, we need to get out of here. We can come back some other time to build a relationship. We need to get out of here Now!!! Take Smoker and Katakuri with you. I will follow you guys soon. Go! Hurry!"
"Ross, who the hell is that?" Doffy couldn't help but question, unable to identify the opponent but knowing that this was not something they were prepared to face yet. Even the opponents Haoshoku Haki's pressure seemed like it was a hundred times denser than his own.
"Doffy, this is not the time for questions. Depart Fishman Island now!!" I then turned to Neptune. "Evacuate as many people as you can. Stay away from the Plaza!" and turned my attention back to the incoming threat, pumping more lightning into myself and bulking up my form.
The massive Fengxi roared, shaking the very plaza we stood on, and with each step, it picked up speed. The massive Sea Kings arrived outside Fishman Island, adding more panic to the situation, as according to their history, such massive Sea Kings would only appear during an extinction-level crisis.
The ground shook as the Fengxi charged, and Elder Warcury completely ignored the ancient sea kings that had appeared outside the barrier. For him, the Red Poneglyph seemed secondary now; killing the Lightning Fruit user seemed more important.
Elder Warcury disregarded the other brother, who was sprinting towards the dock alongside some others, probably making an escape. His concentration was solely set on me, and with each moment, the charge picked up more speed. Even he would not be able to stop such a charge if he willed it. The Sea Kings outside the barrier roared as if wanting to tear the massive Fengxi apart.
My lightning giant form had soared more than ten meters in height, but then, against the incoming form, it was tiny. Warcury was knocking around the huge buildings around the plaza as if they were mere toys.
