Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Major's Warning

As Phoenix and Finn sailed away from the port town, leaving behind the chaos and conflict they had stirred, they found themselves sailing into uncharted waters, their minds buzzing with the events that had transpired.

As they leaned against the ship's railing, catching their breath and watching the sun dip below the horizon, Finn turned to Phoenix with a furrowed brow.

"Finn," Phoenix began, "that was quite the skirmish back there. You fought with the bravery of a seasoned warrior."

Finn chuckled, sheathing his sword and running a hand through his tousled hair. "Aye, but it was your magic that turned the tide, Phoenix. I've never seen anything like it."

Before they could dwell further on their victory, a voice echoed across the deck, cutting through the stillness of the night. It was a gruff voice, tinged with authority and steely resolve.

"Ahoy there, pirates!"

Startled, Phoenix and Finn turned to see a figure emerging from the shadows of the ship. It was a man of imposing stature, clad in the uniform of the Pluto Marine Corps. This was Major Thorne, a stern disciplinarian known for his unwavering dedication to upholding the law of the sea.

With a grim expression, Major Thorne approached Phoenix and Finn, his gaze flickering with a mixture of disdain and suspicion.

"You two have caused quite the commotion back in town," Major Thorne said, his voice dripping with disdain. "Captain Reynard was scolded for his failure to apprehend you, and now the entire Pluto Marine Corps is on high alert."

Phoenix and Finn exchanged uneasy glances, realizing the gravity of their situation. But before they could respond, Major Thorne's expression softened, and he leaned in closer, his voice low and urgent.

"I may not agree with your methods, but I can see that you're not your typical pirates," Major Thorne said, his tone surprisingly sympathetic. "However, I must warn you - there's a hefty bounty on your heads now, courtesy of the Marine Corps. You'd do well to keep a low profile if you wish to avoid further trouble."

With that, Major Thorne turned on his heel and disappeared into the shadows, leaving Phoenix and Finn to ponder his words in the quiet stillness of the night.

As they sailed onward into the darkness, the weight of Major Thorne's warning hung heavy in the air, serving as a grim reminder of the dangers that awaited them on their journey across the treacherous seas of Pluto.
