Chapter 69 - Chapter 69

Hera, The Queen of Olympus stands with an air of regal elegance and authority , befitting her status as the queen of the gods. Her long, dark purple hair is intricately styled, with thick braids and a decorative headpiece that signifies her royal status. Her eyes are a piercing blue, reflecting her wisdom and the intensity of her gaze. Her lips are painted a deep red, adding to her allure. She wears a stunning, flowing gown in shades of blue and purple. The dress has multiple layers, with the outermost layer being a deep, rich purple, and the inner layers a lighter blue, creating a gradient effect. The dress drapes gracefully over her figure, with a low back and high slit that add both grace and sophistication to her appearance. Golden jewelry adorns her arms and neck. She wears elegant bracelets and a matching necklace, each set with blue and green gemstones that catch the light beautifully. Her earrings are long and intricate, adding to her majestic look.

Atalanta and Hippolyta bowed their heads, and even the huntresses in the arena followed suit as Hera slowly descended the stairs with elegance. When she arrived near them, Artemis shouted, confusion in her eyes, "Queen, what is—"

"Silence, child," Hera commanded in an authoritative voice, glaring at Artemis with sharp eyes. Artemis bowed her head, and Athena followed suit. "Speak only when I tell you to speak," Hera added, her voice tinged with anger.

Hera then looked down at the training grounds, specifically at the Beast still lying there. "Dionysus, you poor thing," she said in a sarcastic tone, pretending to regard the Beast with sympathy. "But you are already dead, so it does not matter," she added casually, making Athena and Artemis grit their teeth at the disregard for their half-brother. Seeing their reaction, Hera taunted the Goddesses, "Gonna cry? Cry later, after the Beast is slain."

Turning her attention to the surrounding huntresses, Hera's voice boomed, "Huntresses, warriors, Amazons, whatever you are or whoever you are," she shouted with fury, pointing at the Beast slowly beginning to move again. "Slay the god that turned Beast, a Beast that can bring glory, a glory that can make you immortal. So take it, it's yours!" Her shout caused the sky to rumble, with flashes of lightning illuminating her formidable presence.

The huntresses shouted in full fury as they watched the Beast stand up on its hind legs. Diana then shouted, "Glory to Queen Hera!" She leaped at the Beast, and the other huntresses followed suit. The Beast lashed out, releasing more vines from beneath the ground, impaling some of the huntresses. Diana used her shield to protect herself, but the force of the vines threw her a bit far.

Atalanta joined the fray as well, being a huntress herself. She shot projectiles from her bow in the shape of arrows, aiming to bring down the formidable Beast. However, the Beast merely absorbed the arrows, though it was pushed back by their force. Atalanta and the other huntresses continued to shoot arrows, their efforts seemingly futile. In response, the Beast created more creatures, this time in a more humanoid shape, causing the Goddesses to narrow their eyes in suspicion.

"Gaia? So, this is your doing, huh? You Titaness of a bitch" Hera laughed with venom in her insult towards Gaia, the Mother Earth. Her words dripped with disdain as she directed her scorn towards the ancient deity.

Athena looked at Hera, seeking permission to speak, which Hera noticed, then nodded in acknowledgment. "Should we call Father?" Athena asked urgently, bowing her head respectfully.

"No need, child. Even if she were here herself, she would not matter in front of me," Hera declared with a booming voice, her smile gleeful yet menacing. However, her smile quickly turned to a frown as she was reminded of her husband. "And good luck finding your father, who is probably off somewhere dicking himself," she added venomously, her disdain evident in her words

"Understood" Athena nodded in acknowledge but still she did not trust the words of her step mother, so she send some of her owl to find her Father Zeus,

The humanoid creatures, initially perceived by the Goddesses as conjured from nothingness, were revealed to be composed of the souls of the fallen huntresses. Fortunately, their souls remained intact, allowing them to proceed to the underworld as usual. However, these humanoid creatures were now under the control of the Beast, infused with a madness enchantment that made them frenzied and difficult to subdue.

Despite the chaos, Atalanta proved her prowess as an extraordinary huntress, swiftly dispatching the creatures with her arrows. However, the Beast intensified its assault, attacking indiscriminately and claiming the lives of random huntresses in the process.

The Beast was on the verge of launching a sweeping attack with its vine-like arms, but as it began its motion, a golden rope suddenly ensnared it. The Beast was forcefully pulled by someone, revealed to be Diana. As the Beast was yanked towards Diana mid-air, she delivered a powerful punch with all her might, generating a shockwave that reverberated through the arena, cracking the ground beneath them. Several huntresses and creatures were caught in the collateral damage as the Beast was flung away by the force of Diana's punch.

"I'll handle the Beast!" Diana's voice echoed through the chaos as she teleported in front of the Beast. She unleashed a barrage of punches upon the creature, each strike accompanied by a resounding shockwave reverberating through the air. BOOM BOOM Her relentless assault seemed unyielding, focused solely on subduing the formidable opponent. However, in her fervor, Diana failed to notice the sneaky vines creeping towards her feet.

As the vines entangled her, Diana's momentum was abruptly halted, and she was flung upward before she could react. While she was in mid-air, the Beast jumped after her. However, she saw it coming from the corner of her eye as she spun in the air. The Beast tried to punch her, but only managed to strike the afterimages left by her teleportation. She had teleported a short distance away from the Beast, using the golden rope once again to catch it successfully.

The Beast tried to remove the rope, but it was too late. "AHHHH!" Diana shouted as she used her full strength to pull it downward. With the added force of gravity, the Beast was slammed into the ground with immense force, creating a massive impact. The ground cracked and shook from the collision, leaving a significant crater and further demonstrating Diana's incredible power.

Meanwhile, down below before the impact, Atalanta continued shooting arrows with deadly precision, taking down enemies left and right. She dodged an incoming creature's attack with a swift backflip and, while mid-air, shot arrows at it. However, she noticed that the creatures were not dying and kept standing up, frustrating her as she lacked the ability to nullify their resilience. "I need to find better gear after this," she sighed in disappointment.

Her ears twitched, sensing something approaching. She looked left and right but couldn't see anything. Realizing the only direction left was up, she glanced skyward, her eyes widening in alarm. "Scatter, scatter!" she shouted to her fellow huntresses. They all followed her command, quickly retreating as they noticed the impending danger.

BOOM! The Beast fell, and the impact caused tremendous damage to the surroundings. Fortunately, the huntresses had managed to retreat in time, though the force of the collision made it look as if they had been flung away but unfortunately for the creature, well not really unfortunately as the creatures are just gonna stand back up even after they get destroyed.

While still in mid-air, Diana didn't rely on gravity to land. Instead, she used her teleportation consecutively to reach the ground swiftly. As she landed, some huntresses asked, "Is it done, sister?" but she ignored them, moving swiftly to grip the ground around the area where the Beast had fallen. The ground began to quake as Diana gripped it, prompting the nearby huntresses to shout to their comrades, "Fall back!"

With a mighty shout, "AHHH," and using all her strength, Diana caused a crack to form around the Beast's impact area. When the crack formed a full circle, she flipped the ground with all her might, burying the Beast in the process. The immense effort created a tremor, and the ground shifted dramatically as the Beast was entombed beneath the overturned earth.

The dust engulfed the entire training grounds below, with debris flying into the air toward where the Goddesses and Hippolyta were located. Huntresses coughed and tried to avoid inhaling the swirling dust. Meanwhile, Diana retreated to where Atalanta was standing. Atalanta seemed poised to say something, but Diana anticipated her thoughts. "No, not yet. It's not over yet," Diana said in a serious tone, preparing herself for the next round of battle.
