Chapter 67 - Alarms in the Fire Nation

A messenger from the Fire Nation burst into an emergency meeting room. He was young and looked extremely worried. His eyes were restless, giving him the appearance of a very nervous yet distrustful and fearful man.

He held a scroll containing a letter sent from the border fleet. This report was delivered to Emperor Ozai, who received it without saying a word.

As he read the contents, his expression remained unchanged, but after a few seconds, the paper burst into flames in his hands, and he clenched his fists, showing how angry he was.

The group of generals in the emergency meeting room was silent; they knew that the letter sent from the colonies meant they had lost all power overseas.

"How is all this possible?" A general named Yasuo looked at how the battlefield was now arranged and couldn't understand how the enemy had recovered so quickly.

Ozai looked at everyone and said, "Reinforce the borders, send all soldiers along possible attack routes, and await orders."

"Sir, if you allow me, I will bring you the head of that White Demon as soon as possible; all he has had is luck in despicably defeating our soldiers."

"Attack them again? As far as we know, their fleet exceeds a hundred cruisers, and the majority were ours; how do you suppose we solve this problem?" An elder in the meeting spoke up.

"Is that because of the so-called avatar?"

"He is very young, from what we know."

The desperation of how the war was unfolding was something not everyone could control, but Ozai was not as impatient as the others. "We will kill them all during the next comet; no one will be left alive."

Everyone fell silent; they knew about the comet's existence, so considering that advantage, they could indeed regain all the lost ground so far.

But just when everyone thought that was the end, another messenger rushed into the room holding a silver scroll, his gaze filled with seriousness, and he shouted: "Your Majesty, the coalition army has sent a direct message."

"How dare they?"

"It seems that arrogance has eaten their brains; who do they think they are to send us messages now?"

Ozai stood up and walked towards the messenger; everyone fell silent at this. "Show me…"

The messenger extended his hand and handed him the silver scroll. Ozai looked at the contents, and when he knew what was inside, he dropped the silver scroll to the floor. His gaze started to become fiercer, and he shouted, "Prepare the entire nation for the final war; I will lead the advance."

"Understood, Your Majesty!"

The last time something like this had happened was when the war began; only at that time did an emperor show movement, and it truly was a glorious moment.

But this time seemed very different because when Ozai left the room, Yasuo walked towards that message sent by the enemy. When he read the contents, his hands trembled slightly.

"What does it say?"

"Draver's son is the White Demon."

"How?"

Yasuo looked at everyone and said, "I challenge Ozai to a death match in front of both armies; the winner will be the ruler of the entire world."

"That's…"

When news spread that many of the protectors of religions in the Earth Kingdom had been killed, there were many questions, but the answer left everyone silent.

"Corrupt agents…"

Many who had benefited from these individuals remained silent, and those who had suffered at their hands celebrated their extermination.

A few weeks later, enemy attacks at the borders had ceased, indicating that the true war was about to erupt, and all soldiers belonging to the coalition began to increase in number.

"Report: currently, there are 200,000 warriors at the Earth Nation's border, along with a complete fleet of 280 submarines and 170 war cruisers."

In a room where the next war moves were being planned, calculations were made, and one said, "There are 150,00 warriors in training who will handle the submarines."

"In the northern islands, there are 70,000 who will man the catapults."

"In the west, we have gathered 230,000 warriors who will serve as shield-bearers, archers, and lancers."

The production of submarines with Earth Nation's resources was in constant demand, and it was estimated that they could reach 200 by the time the full invasion began.

As for the cruisers, the fleet could reach 300 units. There were thousands of catapults and giant archers, and with this, it would be the largest army ever created in the history of war.

Everyone would participate; everyone would fight, including the elderly.

To win the war, everyone must fight for what they believe is possible and the future of everyone in their nation.

When the life of each person is disturbed, only then will it be known how far they can go with a possible command.
