Chapter 48 - Heading North

At the far end of the South Pole.

Attack fleet heading north.

In an open field stood seven thousand warriors, of which four thousand were experienced warriors skilled in ice arts, two thousand were human warriors operating the cruisers' cannons, and one thousand were earthbending warriors.

The personnel on the cruisers weren't all soldiers; some were cooks or assistants who complemented this army heading directly into war perfectly.

In the field, all eyes were on Thorian, who seemed to be assessing them one by one with his gaze. "Look at yourselves, soldiers who will experience new battles and others who will be blessed with experience after today."

All eyes were directed towards Thorian with adoration; everyone felt they were being led by a special being who would lead them to absolute victory, and they were not afraid to die in the process.

"Today, we will make history. Right now, Commander Darío's fleet is on its way along with brave warriors to take a colony that is of utmost importance to attack the Earth Nation cities that are still occupied by the enemy. You will all witness an unprecedented change in the history of this world. As you know, only the victors write history."

Thorian raised his sword and shouted, "We will change history; we will show these invaders that we are not so easy to defeat."

"Arghhhhh!!!"

All the warriors let out shouts full of excitement, and each raised their respective weapons to the sky as they boarded the ready-to-depart cruisers.

Several lieutenants standing beside Thorian looked at the excitement of the warriors with different expressions on their faces, some with expressions of pride or absolute adoration. Apparently, everyone had been waiting for this moment and had dreamed of it happening.

As the soldiers boarded the cruisers, they set off. Each of these combat ships was equipped so that the cannons could be operated by common soldiers. The coalition's golden clover flags fluttered in the snowy winds.

"General, are you going directly with the fleet?" Brad, who was standing beside him, asked.

It wasn't known exactly how long it would take for the fleet to catch up with the enemy fleet, so they had to keep that in mind with Thorian overseeing from the sky and flying alongside Doki, who was currently in combat armor.

Watching his elite soldiers donning their new uniforms, Thorian felt that progress was being made and said, "I will be monitoring the enemy's position. I will also support the coalition's attack on the colony."

As many knew, Thorian was a supreme general committed to each of the existing battles, which is why he was sure that his obligation was to be in the most important battles.

"We will all be waiting for your victory," Brad said, watching as most of the soldiers boarded the cruisers.

Thorian cleaned his sword and watched as the people of this city bid them farewell. "Remember that we won't always be able to win; we must also be subject to defeats, and that will be seen when the Fire Nation sees us as a threat."

"I don't think that will take long." Brad knew that this time they would deal a heavy blow to the Fire Nation.

The main cruiser's door, where Thorian should be traveling, suddenly opened, and a young woman rushed in. "The enemy fleet is moving north; scouts have sent a message that they are moving quickly."

"How many cruisers?"

"No more than a hundred have been counted; it seems that many colonies are participating with their most specialized warriors."

Thorian appreciated being told to share this message as soon as possible and said, "Send a message; tell them we will begin the mission and activate the first steps."

"Understood, General."

As the messenger left, Thorian looked at Brad and said, "Stay alert for ambushes along the way; we must be very attentive to the enemy's movements for any type of enemy ambush."

"Orders understood, my lord." Brad placed his hands over his chest and walked towards the command room.

Once Thorian looked at Doki, who was eating fish, he patted him a bit and said, "Old friend, it's time to set out."

Co! Co! Co!

"Are you full?"

Rooaarrr!!!

Thorian nodded as he saw Doki's aggressive expression, so this time, he would first oversee how the attack on the colony would unfold. After an hour, the enemy fleet should be far away, so there shouldn't be any problem with them.
