Chapter 16 - Hatred Never Forgotten

Layers of black clouds covered the sky as spring rains continued to fall to the ground. The rain was as fine as the whisper of a giant creature. As the rain continued to fall, the streets of the great city remained clean because, magically, all that water flowed into the streams on one side and continued to travel to the great lake.

At the top of the Great Wall, dozens of men were in charge of maintaining the weapons and keeping watch so that no enemy could even dream of crossing these great walls. But the defense was relatively low because the fleet was in the vicinity during the day and returned at night, saving a lot of energy.

The rear of the Great Wall was as desolate as ever. Despite having the proper facilities, many people did not pass through these places at night.

Thorian sat by a window as the wind blew forcefully. "We should travel in this weather, but if we want to avoid it, we could just fly above the clouds." Thorian murmured as he looked at the weather through the window.

Many days had passed since everyone moved to this place, and except for the soldiers who remained guarding the prisoners of war in the old place considered their home, everyone else stayed in this area.

Many people might forget the pain and the hatred that oppressed them during a long period of their lives, but Thorian did not forget, and the best thing about having nightmares was that he could really remember that day when he lost everything.

The way his mother cried, that man who cut her head, and how his father ended up sacrificing himself to finish off most of his enemies back then.

Feeling the need to protect these people now, he knew that he had to choose soon how he would attack and how he would protect those who were still behind enemy bars.

"In a few years, we could send a message to the Fire Nation; if they come for us, we'll fight on our territory, and we could escape whenever we wanted." Thorian thought, analyzing over and over again the ways they could fight back.

The situation was like analyzing a battlefield, knowing they were surrounded by water and that they could well deliver a hard blow to the Fire Nation, which could not even imagine the power the south held at the moment.

Taking off his coat after closing the window and lighting a fire more strongly in the fireplace, Thorian took off his shirt, revealing his large muscles on his developed body.

In the process of absorbing the power that had been given to him, he had learned many strange techniques that no one else could unleash. That told Thorian that he was somewhat special.

Having the body of a boy over fifteen years old, Thorian had increasingly embarked on dangerous battlefields where he had been injured.

There were some burn scars, others from cuts with white weapons, and others that came from training. The special way they had to fight was something no one had ever seen before; now they used the weather conditions to their advantage to defeat the invaders.

After numerous disappearances of Fire Nation cruisers began to occur, they would stop traveling alone and start sending more than one cruiser, reduce their activity in areas where they believed the enemy was, and travel through areas where they believed they would not be attacked.

Over the past few years, the nearby colony of invaders has lost numerous formidable warriors, high-quality cruisers, and thousands of soldiers who disappeared without a trace.

All this began to disrupt the Fire Nation's knowledge order, which began to believe that there was a group of skilled waterbenders still in the South when they believed that all had been captured.

"As long as we attack at the right moment, we won't lose, so now is the time to negotiate with other islands." Thorian, who had seen that the rain had stopped, looked at Doki, who was sleeping, and woke him up.

In these moments of urgency, they had to seize every moment, and Thorian, who was the strongest warrior in the South, could not afford to stay away for too long, but he was the one who could reach other places faster through his Griffin.

Watching as his home disappeared into the snowstorms that were artificially created outside the walls, Thorian smiled slightly, feeling proud, and then set off for the island that was very close to his location.
