As Roger gradually regained consciousness, he found himself in the village chief's room, bathed in the warm glow of flickering torchlight. The chief, a figure of wisdom and authority, sat nearby, her gaze gentle yet piercing. With a calm voice, she began to speak, acknowledging the overwhelming nature of his new surroundings. "I understand that this is all unfamiliar to you," she said, her words carrying a soothing reassurance. "But rest assured, it will take time to adapt to this environment. You are safe here, and we will guide you through this journey of discovery." In her presence, Roger felt a glimmer of hope amidst the uncertainty, knowing that he was not alone in this strange and wondrous world.

In that moment, as Roger's consciousness wavered, the image of the person with wings lingered in his mind like a cryptic puzzle piece. The chief's words echoed faintly, urging him to rest, yet Roger's insatiable curiosity drove him to push against the haze of fatigue. With a determined effort, he attempted to rise, only to be engulfed by an overwhelming wave of darkness, his body succumbing to the demands of exhaustion. But what secrets lay hidden behind that enigmatic visage, and how did it connect to his own fate? These questions danced on the edge of his consciousness as he slipped into unconsciousness, the allure of the unknown pulling him deeper into the abyss.

Roger's voice quivered as he struggled to comprehend his surreal circumstances. "Where am I?" he repeated, his words tinged with disbelief. "And why am I here? I should be dead by now."

The chief's eyes held a depth of understanding as she met his gaze. "You have indeed passed from your previous world," she affirmed, her voice carrying a serene reassurance. "But in this realm, you've been granted a new beginning, a chance to embark on a different journey."
