Simm was waiting outside the manor with an impatient look on her face. The children were running around her, delighted with the opportunity of playing on a lawn so huge. Surata's property as a single person didn't lose out to the members of the big clans. The only difference was her property being situated outside the core city.
"That bitch gets on my nerves every fucking time," she said in a half-apologetic, half-furious tone when she saw Ken walk out. "And I'm pretty sure she does it intentionally whenever you are around."
"Then why do you keep getting mad? Hasn't any enemy ever tried to enrage you in life-and-death battles? Just keep your head cool, wife," Ken said in exasperation.
"It's not the same! You wouldn't get it, master." Simm's reply was identical to Surata's teasing, enough to give Ken the urge to yell at the open sky to release some frustration.
"What did she say, anyway?"
