Chapter 4 - chapter 4 The Cathedral

Alex looked between the basket and Anne before narrowing his eyes in boredom.

"Okaaaay"

"Oh, thanks Alex"

"On one condition"

"Hm?, what is it?"

"After I buy what is writing on the paper, and give them to you again, you have to go to the bridge okay?. I'm going to wait there"

Anne's eyes sparkled and said,

"Okay Alex, as you wish. now don't be late, go go"

Alex grabbed the basket, and went to the shops.

"Annea, why didn't you tell me about your friend?"

"I didn't want for you to feel sad. thats why"

"Mhm. then why did you befriend him from the start?"

Anne ignored Judy, and grabbed her hand, leading her somewhere.

"Annea, don't ignore me!"

"..."

"Annea. stop. ignoring. me!!!"

"Look Judy, isn't it beautiful?"

Judy looked at the place Anne was pointing at.

"Don't try to change the sub-....ject?"

Anne pointed at the cathedral. the cathedral were shining because of the sun, blazing on it, making the cathedral look like a white pearl.

Judy was silent as she looked at the cathedral. Anne pulled Judy inside by the hand. excitement showing on both of their faces.

The cathedral was beautiful from the outside, but the inside was another story. Inside, the walls and ceiling were all shiny because they were made of crystal.

All white on white, and shining from the sunlight on the walls, it reflected on the ceiling to reveal the large statue at the end of the cathedral.

"Annea, who is that statue?"

"Oh!, she is Mariam، the holy maiden"

"Woooow. the place is really beautiful... you come here all the time?"

"Not that much, but yes I do"

Judy formed a sad face while looking at her feet, and said.

"Wish I could come here however I want too"

Anne looked at her bestfriend, tightening her grab on Judy's hand, making her look at Anne in a questioning face.

"Don't worry Judy. when we get older, we will visit every place we find it interesting"

"Really?. can you promise me that?"

Anne nodded her head while saying,

"Yeah, I promise. we will travel the whole world, together!"

In this cute moment Judy were really happy, until Alex called Anne. here Judy got angry, and tried to control herself from yelling at him.

"Anne!. where were you?"

"How can you ask that?, when you are seeing with your own eyes where I'm?"

"Yeah yeah, whatever. take this stupid basket"

Alex handed the basket to Anne, and she grabbed it from him.

"Thanks Alex. then, I'm not going to be late. I hope that this old hag will not refuse"

"Yeah, I hope that too. now go don't be late"

"Bye Alex"

Anne got out from the cathedral with

Judy, heading back home.

***

"Daddy daddy. we are here!"

"Hi Judy, and Ann"

"Uncle Jushoa where is daddy?"

"Oh, he is in the stable, feeding your horse, Judy"

"Thanks uncle!. I'm going to daddy then"

Judy turned back and opened the door, heading to the stable. leaving Anne in front of the door.

"So then, I'm going uncle"

"Ha, where?"

"No, you aren't going anywhere. the sky is about to rain"

"But grandma!, I promised Alex to go to the bridge today!, and now!"

"No means no. it's not my problem because you promise on everything. how many times do I have to tell you, don't promise anyone?"

Jushoa letting out a sigh kneeled before Anne, facing her with a smile.

"Your grandma is right Ann. beside promising something you might can't do, grandma said the sky is about to rain. we are afriad that you will get sick!"

"I will wear everything I have. just let me go to tell him to go home!. what if he got sick because of me!?"

"In that case, I'm going Ann. rest assured"

"...Okay...."

Jushoa stood up while patting Anne's head, trying to comfort her.

He turned to the clothes hanger, took his coat, opened the door, and went out.

Anne with a frown took the basket, and went to the kitchen, and placed the basket on the table.

"Great. now, I'm stuck here"

Anne turned away from the table, and went to the living room. and sit a few steps away from the fireplace.

"What?, still angry because we are worried about you?"

"..."

"Beside everything. didn't I tell you, do not befriend that boy Alex?. he isn't a good boy. do you remember the time he leaved you under the rain waiting for him?. how can you still bear looking at his face?"

Anne stood up, facing the old woman with anger.

"It's not like you're the one who he did leave her waiting, so don't get angry on my behalf, okay?"
