Chapter 51 - "I'm truly impressed."

zhangzhili's face darkened slightly. If the Jeep's first collision seemed like a one percent chance accident, this time it was a confirmed attack.

"Dad, hold on tight!" Zhang Zhili spoke in a low voice, then slammed on the accelerator, the car darting forward.

After stabilizing the car's direction, the two vehicles briefly ran side by side. Zhang Zhili looked through the window and saw the driver of the Jeep, a man in his forties with a deep scar running from his left eye down to the right corner of his mouth, giving him a menacing appearance.

Their eyes met across the divide, a palpable sense of danger filling the air.

Tang Dapeng gripped the handrail tightly, his hands trembling. The car was moving at an extremely fast speed, and on this narrow and winding road, it was incredibly dangerous.

As they approached another sharp turn, Zhang Zhili saw a large truck coming from the opposite lane. Without hesitation, he once again rammed into the Jeep.

The driver of the Jeep hadn't expected Zhang Zhili to dare such a maneuver on a sharp turn. Any slight miscalculation would have sent them flying down the steep slope to certain death.

In that instant, the thought "desperate" flashed through the driver's mind. Zhang Zhili seemed more like a desperado than he did.

In the blink of an eye, Zhang Zhili's car slammed into the Jeep, the tremendous impact sending it crashing into the mountainside.

Zhang Zhili quickly adjusted the steering, narrowly avoiding a collision with the oncoming truck's front end. Tang Dapeng was drenched in cold sweat from the shock.

Meanwhile, the truck had rammed into the back of the Jeep. Although the truck wasn't moving fast due to the sharp turn, it effectively wedged the Jeep between it and the mountain.

After successfully navigating the turn, Zhang Zhili brought the car to a stop on the side of the road.

"Dad, wait for me!" Zhang Zhili said as he opened the car door and dashed back.

In the Jeep, the driver, with the help of the truck driver, had finally crawled out from the back seat.

Barely standing, he saw Zhang Zhili and reached for the gun at his waist.

But before he could draw it, Zhang Zhili's fist came crashing into his chest.

The force behind the punch was enough to break several ribs. The sight of the young man's prowess caught the driver off guard.

However, being a professional killer, the driver reacted quickly, grabbing the truck driver beside him and shoving him towards Zhang Zhili.

Zhang Zhili frowned, pulling back his fist and grabbing the truck driver, pulling him behind him before delivering another punch.

By this time, the driver had managed to pull out his gun, a sinister smile crossing his face. "Didn't expect you to be this tough. I've been eating on the edge of a knife for over ten years. Almost got your number, huh?"

The truck driver was stunned. He had thought it was just an accident, but now it seemed like he was caught in the middle of a gunfight.

"Do you think you've won?" Zhang Zhili retracted his fist. "I can't imagine how you could dodge my bullets."

The driver was about to pull the trigger when, almost simultaneously, Zhang Zhili flicked a stone out from between his fingers using his true qi.

The driver only saw a flash before feeling a searing pain as the stone shattered the bones in his wrist. The intense pain made him instinctively release the gun.

Before he could react, Zhang Zhili's fist came crashing into his chest.

Even though Zhang Zhili had held back, the force of the blow sent the driver flying, slamming heavily into the spot where the Jeep was parked. Blood sprayed from his mouth.

Zhang Zhili stepped on the driver's chest, then turned to the truck driver. "I caused the collision. We'll settle this privately. I'll transfer money to you, and you can leave."

"No, no need!" The truck driver's face turned pale as he turned to run back to his truck.

"Just a moment!" Zhang Zhili called after him. "Get out your payment code. I'll make the transfer."

Numbly, the truck driver took out his payment code, and Zhang Zhili transferred ten thousand yuan to him.

Hearing the sound of the money transfer, the truck driver's face filled with disbelief, but he dared not say anything more. He turned and ran back to his truck.

This time, Zhang Zhili didn't stop him. He quickly started the car and left the scene.

The driver lay on the ground, his gaze fixed on Zhang Zhili as he realized his imminent death.

"I'm not a patient person. Who sent you here? Three seconds. If you don't speak, you die." Zhang Zhili's expression was cold.

The driver sneered. "Threatening me? I've lived by the edge of my knife for years. Do you think I'd be afraid of this?"

"Three seconds are up!" Zhang Zhili's foot pressed down on the driver's neck.

At that moment, the driver finally felt the murderous intent emanating from Zhang Zhili. His mind raced as he reached a belated conclusion: Zhang Zhili was decisive, ruthless, and deadly.

He really might kill me!

The driver never expected that before he could finish speaking, Zhang Zhili had already exerted force on his neck. He heard the sound of his neck breaking before losing consciousness.

Even in death, his eyes remained wide open, unable to believe that Zhang Zhili would be so merciless.

Expressionless, Zhang Zhili stuffed the driver's body back into the Jeep, then called Huang Laowu. "Huang Laowu, help me take care of a body."

After hanging up the phone, Zhang Zhili took photos of the scene and sent them, along with the location, to Huang Laowu. Then he left without further ado.

Tang Dapeng was impatiently waiting, and Zhang Zhili returned to the car.

"Is this the person Chen Yaoyang found?" Tang Dapeng asked.

Zhang Zhili nodded. He wasn't surprised that Tang Dapeng had guessed. From the beginning, he had suspected Chen Yaoyang. The questioning only confirmed his suspicion.

He had only offended two people, Chen Yaoyang and Leopard!

Since Leopard had sent over a hundred men to deal with him, he probably wouldn't resort to hiring a hitman until he received a response. The last driver, likely sent by Leopard, had probably lied! Chen Yaoyang was the type to talk big but not follow through!

My good uncle must be hiding something from me! Zhang Zhili was even more convinced of this

In the end, his public enmity with Chen Yaoyang stemmed merely from seizing his assets and breaking Chen Huanrui's leg. Even if there were to be retaliation, resorting to hitmen would be an extreme risk, requiring substantial justification.

Tang Dapeng appeared heavy-hearted, feeling that Zhang Zhili was still too young and impulsive.

The current situation couldn't be entirely blamed on Zhang Zhili, but antagonizing two big shots was too much for a small family like the Tangs to bear.

After dropping off Tang Dapeng at home, Zhang Zhili hurried to the Eight Immortals Drunken Tavern under continuous urging from Ke Wen.

It was the same private room as yesterday, but this time, there were an extra man and woman inside.

Zhang Zhili glanced at Ke Wen and grinned, "Looks like you're not feeling too good tonight, huh?"

Ke Wen, with a sorrowful expression, almost burst into tears, "Zhang, my friend, I truly admire you, truly!"
