Even after searching for that bard the whole forest and nearby farms aether couldn't just find him. It was as if the bard has vanished.
Walking on a large and vast green terrain,at evening they looked at the sky,in the hope that they could see a dragon,a blue dragon.
The air was rather fast that day. Paimon couldn't keep floating at the same spot beside aether. Aether was staring at the sky,his eyes focused on something that they both were yearning to get to know but they couldn't.
Paimon flew beside his hair and patted it,in response aether only stared her back. Initially Paimon was taken aback by the blank stare but she realised that was aether's usual stare. He was like that from the very beginning when he first met paimon.
Paimon clung to him. It was unusual even for paimon to willingly cling to aether and be silent. Both looked up to the sky,it got darker. The sun set and the sky turned light blue then dark and then it turned complete pitch black with stars scattered. The winds became chilly and paimon was feeling cold but she still clung to aether. For some reason Paimon could tell,aether wasn't feeling good.
"Do we have some food left,Paimon?"
Aether asked. His voice pierced all the sounds of insects and leaves moving because of air and slightly startled paimon,who was nearly going to sleep..
"..uh?oh...yeah,we do.." she picked up a raw hilichurl meat covered in leaves. It was thanks to aether that he shot the hilichurl a stab in its heart.
"Good. I have two stones,I will ignite and roast the meat,in the mean time you can rest.."
Aether's words slightly gave a pang to paimon's mind though aether didn't mean that. Paimon wanted to keep up with aether but she realised that aether knew that she was tired. She agreed and went ahead to sleep.
