Jake's POV
My mood hasn't been better in years, this is the first time I've felt so calm. I think I underestimated the Luna the moon goddess bestowed upon me. For the first time in my life I've been grateful.
Klara has this sweet addictive smell on her, I nearly bit into her neck, luckily she did notice it.
Klara is a smart woman based on my observation, she is a total mind reader, I didn't even tell her what I'm going through and she was able to deduce that I'm not stable.
I commend her thoughts truthfully, she would make a good Luna, she has this playful personality and won't let people notice her weak points. While indulging in my ecstasy, my Lycan, Luca groaned:
"There is trouble in the borderlands." My gaze turned murderous.
These people won't let me enjoy peace and quite for even up to a week.
I just burned those crazy vampires and now there is another problem?
The Delta came from the other direction and bowed, "Greetings Alpha Jake. We have an uninvited guest in our pack?" His gaze Still faced on the floor.
"Well." I stated, giving him the permission to continue.
"He is Alpha of the rogue pack, he wants to gain access to the land opposite our pack and won't back down after having a face off." My expression didn't change, I calmly listened.
I suddenly chuckled, my eyes tinted a deeper shade of red in an instant.
The Delta shivered, it's no doubt that rumors far precedes me, and some people just want to dare me.
"There is nothing to negotiate." I gave my final verdict, the pack members down the platform didn't dare stay after sensing the mood in the air was not clear.
They all left one after the other, except Felix, Richard, Delta Alex, and Klara.
An approaching footsteps was heard and mother came out with a troubled expression.
"Jake? That rogue out there is said to have acquired the Moon emblem pack, and they have have now been upgraded from an ordinary rogue to a rogue with a pack…" Mother wanted to keep exaggerating but I cut her off.
"How is that my problem? You seem to doubt my capabilities. Our pack is not something that can be acquired easily, he doesn't have enough capability to do so." My tone was filled with intrigue at how panicked mother looked.
"Son, you have to take my words to heart. That man out there is a rebel. He would stop at nothing to exercise dominance."
Mother cast a disgusting gaze at Klara and my temper boiled.
"Mother, learn to respect my authority, she is my mate." My eyes gazed at her condescendingly.
"Respect goes both ways son! I respect you but not her! A random person can't be the Luna to our pack." Mother argued her expression sour, she banged her palm on the pillar creating a deep dent on it.
Her actions caused Klara to knit her eyebrows, her eyes filled with shock.
"This girl won't be your Luna! She doesn't even have a wolf!, remember Clarissa is gifted with healing and will be useful to our Pack in the future, I don't mind that headless girl being your mistr…"
Luca instantly growled, his growling resonating throughout the whole place.
Everyone stood in shock at the unexpected apprehension.
I nearly clawed my mother's neck out of anger and she backed away, looking at me in grievance.
Clarissa suddenly walked out of the shadows as soon as mother started huffing trying to control her temper, tears hung at the tip of her eyes.
"Aunt!, you might get injured!" Clarissa dragged mother out of my view, why I struggled to calm Luca down.
Luca has a big temper and won't take someone insulting or taking what belongs to us right under our nose.
"Get out!" I growled, trying to stabilize Luca, I wouldn't want to injure my own mother after all, she was still the active Luna of the Lion's claw pack.
"Jake… calm down she is still your mother.
I closed my red tinted eyes, and felt my rage subside the moment that sweet scent pervaded my nostrils.
This scent is definitely my safe haven.
