Chapter 50 - Chapter 49: The Birth of Bakaguya

Kaguya was surprised to see how a pair of speakers materialized behind the young man.

. This was unbelievable. She was completely astonished, now understanding why Hayasaka referred to him as an urban legend; no normal human could materialize objects out of thin air like this.

She quickly pulled Hayasaka and demanded answers.

Kaguya: "Hayasaka, how is this possible? How is it possible that I have no information about this incredible being, or that the group has not taken any action yet? How is it even possible that other groups and companies, even the government, are not interested in him? Tell me... does he have some incredible background or something like that?"

Kaguya was very curious.

She pulling at Hayasaka's skirt, demanding information to satisfy her curiosity.

Hayasaka sighed at her Mistress's actions and spoke.

Hayasaka: "Detailed information about the Wandering Musician is practically nonexistent. It gives me a headache just thinking about how difficult it is to obtain any information. What little is known is that the Wandering Musician has the ability to materialize and dematerialize objects around him. He can also disappear as easily and quickly as he appeared, leaving no trace behind. Both us and other groups and companies have a general consensus of no action until more information is obtained. The few abilities he has demonstrated are very strange and unpredictable. We also don't know if he has any other unpredictable abilities. Furthermore, anyone who approaches him and hears his voice will completely forget what they were doing a moment ago and will focus solely on listening to him sing. The sensations and feelings he transmits each time he sings make the person in question absorbed in his performance. That is the same reason why no police or law enforcement agents have prevented the Wandering Musician from performing. They all were enchanted by his performance, and by the time they realized it, he had disappeared, leaving them defenseless. Since the Wandering Musician only gives small concerts in random places and has caused no major problems other than a bit of crowding, the government has decided to let him be. On the contrary, local politicians have decided to use his random performances as a way to attract tourists to the city. As for us and the big companies, it's not that the Wandering Musician does anything that interferes with our interests. Moreover, we don't want to attract hostility from an individual with problematic abilities and others still unknown. The explanation and information are very complicated, so I beg Kaguya-sama to forgive my incompetence and stop asking about the topic." Said the young servant as she rubbed the bridge of her nose to try to ward off the headache that threatened to settle in her head.

Kaguya was stunned.

Was this young man so impressive?

To the point where the Shinomiya group and the other groups, even the government, decided to leave him be.

Her curiosity had been completely aroused and she was very interested in interacting with this so-called Wandering Musician.

Hayasaka, as perceptive as always, had pulled out a picnic basket from somewhere, spreading a tablecloth on the ground and giving her mistress a signal to sit down.

Soon after he took out a tea set from it.

Kaguya wasn't surprised in the least.

Unlike the spontaneous materialization of the Wandering Musician, the Shinomiya servants were trained to adapt to all kinds of situations, always ready to fulfill their masters' wishes

She nodded at the good performance of her Maid/Childhood Friend and sat on her tablecloth, gladly receiving tea and looking forward to the young man's performance.

That's when it happened.

A bewitching electronic sound and the vibrant accompaniment of trumpets spread throughout the surroundings and lifted the spirits of everyone including Kaguya.

When Kaguya felt strange about the sudden emotions and wanted to ask Hayasaka, the young man's voice resonated in her ears.

Tadano: "Oh love me… Mister! …Oh Mister! "If I'm Not Dreaming let me Know"

The pair of girls behind him performed the chorus, further elevating the mood.

Tadano: "Hey Mister… C'mon Mister… Too much Stress is going to Kill Me! … These feelings… drive me crazy… You simple Look… Make me Lose… A dangerous two player game…"

Kaguya was surprised.

His voice was charming and cheerful.

It filled her with an animated and jovial feeling.

She felt a strange connection to this song.

It conveyed a feeling of familiarity as if it were speaking about her. But she hadn't heard this song before. She was very curious to know more.

Tadano, Kaede and Nene: "Love is War… Love is War… Love is War…"

Listening to the choruses the feeling of familiarity became stronger.

Kaguya: "Lovers have their positions, the exploited and the exploiter, the servant and the master, the loser and the winner... Love is a war, and the first to confess is the loser," she murmured to herself.

She didn't know how she knew this information.

But this only made her more interested in the young man, he seemed to know more about her person than even she herself.

The girl continued to listen attentively to the song, immersing herself in a somewhat familiar love story.

The concepts she whispered about before were reflected in the lyrics.

It was a war about which of the lovers would be the first to confess.

Unconsciously, she hummed the melody while watching the young singer fascinated. So it went until the young man gave her a glance while singing.

Tadano: "I Want to make you Say it… Break the border that inside your Heart…"

Kaede and Nene: "Break the border that inside your Heart…"

Tadano: "And Quickly confess your love to me!"

Both pairs of rubies met at the moment the young man held the high note.

Her heart trembled, and unconsciously her face reddened. Then she saw how for a brief moment the young man gave her a cold, sharp look.

Her heart felt a completely new feeling that she had never experienced before, forming a small crack in the cold, icy shell that covered it.

Kaguya's thoughts were chaotic at the moment.

Her two personalities panicked, "Ice" tried to calm "Child," who had her eyes rolling from such an abrupt surge of emotions in her. This confusing and inexplicable feeling that arose in their hearts filled them with confused and chaotic thoughts that made them dizzy and prevented their proper functioning. When she finally managed to bring her back to herself, "Child" looked to a corner with concern where a figure similar to them was slowly emerging.

"Ice" was furious; she had enough with "Child" to endure another one. Then she looked at the screen in front of them, where she could see in all its splendor that young singer.

She wanted to despise him. How dare a complete stranger leave them in this state? But she couldn't.

Nor could she keep her gaze fixed for long before having to look away.

Complicated feelings formed in her heart. Returning to "Complete Kaguya," she was in a trance completely focused on the young man as he sang, the lyrics resonating in her mind.

Tadano: "…I don't Need happy endings… I Will not reject lies… wrapped by love…"

Kaede and Nene: "Wrapped by love…"

Tadano: "And to Destroy me even more…"

Taking a breath the young man looked deeply at Kaguya and sang.

Tadano: "Oh Love me Mister… Oh Mister… Show me your beautiful profile… Hey Mister… C'mon Mister… Your lips seem so distant… there something unknow in that beauty… Your Eyes Hold more than a glance… I am drawn into a dangerous game…"

It seemed as if he was talking about her.

Her heart experienced feelings she had never felt before, and she liked this sensation; it was strangely addictive.

She was completely lost in him.

Her thoughts became more and more chaotic as the song continued. Her heart kept beating wildly. The small crack had long since expanded, and now it seemed more like a deep abyss than anything else.

The young man continued singing, accompanied by his two assistants behind him, who strangely began to dance to the music without realizing it.

The crowd followed the twins' movements behind the Wandering Musician, dancing to a choreographed rhythm.

Everyone, including the twins and Kaguya, was lost in the enchanting voice of the young man.

The melodic orchestra sounded at full power through the speakers behind the trio, filling the crowd with joy and jubilation.

The young man had also begun to dance and, pointing forward, continued.

Tadano: "Love is War…"

Kaede and Nene: "Love is War…"

Tadano, Kaede and Nene: "Love is War!"

With the puffing of trumpets behind them they continued.

Tadano, Kaede and Nene: "Until You Say so… Don't tell me the answer…"

Tadano: "The secret… of love… Will reveal it… Now!

Curiously, Tadano's finger pointing to the crowd also pointed to Kaguya.

When she heard the last phrase, she couldn't take it anymore, and her head exploded into smoke, fainting on the fabric and letting out gibberish.

In her mind, chaos reigned...

Pink flames covered everything.

"Child" hugged "Ice" very scared, who had a complicated look while she looked around her. With a hand on her chest, he sighed with exasperation but also with resignation.

Ice: "It seems we have fallen…" she said with resignation as she saw a small figure emerge from the pink flames, it was even smaller than "Child."

She had a cartoonish appearance and a cheerful smile on her face, a small pink flower with four petals sprouting from her head.

The figure approached the duo while humming the young man's song.

Raising her little hand she said.

Bakaguya: "Hello everyone, it's a nice place, although somewhat gloomy... by the way, you also liked that song, right? What do you think of the young man? I think it's very cute…" said the small figure as she held her blushing cheeks while rocking back and forth.

"Ice," she sighed as she saw the attitude of her new addition to her group.

Then she looked at "Child" who was confused.

After letting out another sigh she waved her hand making the pink flames disappear.

But in the next moment they came back thanks to Bakaguya also waving his hands imitating "Ice."

Ice: "This will be more problematic than I expected," she said exasperatedly as she looked at the now black screen in front of her.

It would be a long day.

Returning to the surface, the young man had already finished singing.

It was at this moment that Hayasaka became aware of herself and quickly turned to see her Mistress's condition. When she found her unconscious on the blanket while white smoke emanated from her head, she panicked and quickly packed her things, taking her mistress to the limousine waiting for them outside the square.

Author's note: "Well here we are, appearance of the best character of Kaguya-Sama. The culprit of the plot progressing, yes sir! Whatever, a long chapter, it took me longer to translate it than I expected. Well, remember to take a lot water and that I love you very much, sincerely your favorite depressive author.
