Explosion
Fireworks exploded in the sky while students gathered on the ground.
Today was a special day—the sports festival—and everyone was very excited.
But no one was more excited than Tadano's class.
Student 1: "Komi-Sama! Komi-Sama! I'll give it my all for Komi-Sama!!!"
Student 2: "YOSHAAAA!!! It's time to unleash my full potential!"

Not far away, sitting in a beautiful linen chair from who knows where, Shouko sat, slightly embarrassed by her classmates' energetic behavior.
Leaning on the back of the chair, Tadano spoke with amusement.
Tadano: "Well, at least they're not going completely overboard. That's progress, don't you think?" the young man said as he rested his chin on the young girl's head.
Shouko: "I wish it were a bit more peaceful… If it's like this, I feel like I'm forcing them…" she said, somewhat ashamed.
Tadano: "Maa～, there's no need to look so down, right? If you feel guilty, why not reciprocate their enthusiasm by winning the relay race? You and Yadano trained hard in the track club, didn't you?" he said as he wrapped his arms around the young girl.
The girl placed her little hands on the strong arms that enveloped her and looked at the young man's expression.
That confident and playful expression always calmed and warmed her heart.
Shouko: "Alright, I'll do my best… No! I'll win first place to repay my classmates' feelings!" she said with a brave expression on her cute face.

Shouko: "Do you really think so?" she asked while holding the young man's hands.

It was a beautiful scene until…
"YOSHAAA!! Come on, everyone! Put in more effort! Warm up faster! We won't leave without that first place, understand?!" yelled an excited Yamai while holding a baton in her hand.

Tadano and Shouko: "…"
As they both stared blankly at Yamai's performance, a charming, copper-skinned girl approached.
Netsuno: "Hehe, a good class, about 41.5 degrees—very hot! Komi-San, I'm looking forward to our match. I hope you stay as hot as you were that time because I don't plan on losing!" she said with vibrant eyes.
Shouko looked into Netsuno's eyes and, with a serious expression, said,
"Just as I gave my all to earn your friendship, now I'll give my all to repay my classmates' feelings… No! My friends!" she said with bravery and passion.
Netsuno's eyes shone with a fiery flame as she saw Shouko's passion.
Netsuno: "That's it! 120 degrees! Incredible! That's the spirit and passion I want to face! Let's give it our all on the field, Komi-San!" she said, extending her hand.
Shouko extended hers, and they shared a competitive handshake with smiles.
Not long after, with spirits high, Shouko joined the class, and they cheered each other on.
The other classes looked on enviously at ours for having Shouko with them.
Now sitting in the chair where Shouko had been before, Tadano watched the whole scene with amusement and tenderness in his heart.
He was confident of victory—Shouko had grown significantly from what she would have been in the original work at this point, not to mention Yamai's absurd stats.
The only ones who might be a bit unfortunate were Agari and Nakanaka, who lacked physical condition, but Tadano wasn't worried. Even if they lost time, he and Shouko would make up for it.
While Tadano was lost in thought, a pair of girls sat on the armrests of the chair and looked at him with amusement.
Nene: "Hehe, it seems you've become a king or something?" the young woman said with amusement as she looked at Tadano.
Kaede: "Oh, Your Majesty, if you wish, this concubine will warm your bed…" the green-haired girl said mischievously as she nibbled on the young man's ear.
The young man couldn't resist being teased by these mischievous girls and took them into his arms.
After placing each one on a leg, he kissed them both on the cheek and asked,
Tadano: "Are you bored enough to come and tease me?"
Nene: "I'm thirsty, and I couldn't find the person in charge of the water, so you're the best option," she said naturally as she took one of the young man's arms and hugged it.
Kaede: "Yamai is with the rest of the class, so I don't want to be there right now. Since you looked so lonely, I decided to keep you company. How about it? I'm a good girlfriend, right? Praise me!" she said in a spoiled tone as she rubbed against the young man's broad chest.
Tadano couldn't help but roll his eyes at these little mischief-makers.
However, he fulfilled their requests.
He handed Nene a mandarin energy drink and pampered Kaede a bit, who laughed amusedly.

Not long after, the festival began.
The results were obvious.
Event 1: Gymnastics
With perfect movements, as well as a bit of help from the Komi Effect, Shouko won the victory.
Event 2: Tug-of-War

With great agility and using all the strength she could muster in her legs, she quickly passed class after class until she caught up with Netsuno.
And with great effort, she managed to overtake her just before crossing the finish line.
Panting from the effort, Shouko rested her hands on her knees.
She was happy, though a bit sore, with her clothes dirty and a few bruises from the fall.
Netsuno: "That was undoubtedly some magnificent heat. You burn as brightly as the sun, Komi-san," Netsuno said with a smile as she extended a hand to Shouko.
Before Shouko could take her hand, a group of anxious classmates hurried over to check on her condition.
Shouko trembled for a moment at being surrounded by so many people, but after taking a deep breath, she extended her slender jade arm and made a peace sign.
Shouko: "It looks like I won, hehe," she said with a smile.
Her classmates were stunned by this scene, but soon after, they all roared and cheered for Shouko.
Shouko smiled happily at the affection from her class.
Then she made a decision and called everyone's attention.
Shouko: "I know this might sound a bit sudden and maybe even selfish on my part, but I've gotten along so well with all of you, and I truly appreciate each one of you. So, I hope I'm not being presumptuous, but I'd like to be friends with all of you…" she said, lowering her head, fearing a negative response.
The silence only made her more anxious.
But then she felt a hand rest on her head.
She lifted her head and saw Tadano standing in front of her.
Tadano: "Don't lower your head. Look around you," he said with a warm smile.
When Shouko did, she saw all her classmates with tears in their eyes.
Student 1: "WAAA I've been blessed… Komi-sama wants to be my friend!"
Student 2: "Today I've been granted the fortune of 1000 lives. I thank my ancestors for this opportunity!"
Student 3: "Yes, I want to be your friend, Komi-sama!"
All the classmates agreed to her request, with tears in their eyes, charmed by how sweet and cute Shouko had been just a moment ago.
Everyone quickly accepted becoming friends with Shouko.
Shouko was happy and wanted to move closer to chat, but she felt a sharp pain in her leg, which made her wince.
Tadano noticed this before anyone else, and with a firm expression, he lifted her in a princess carry and headed for the infirmary.
