(Dying is gay.)
This is how other languages other than Elvish will sound from now on.
-----------------------------
Finishing the ritual, I opened my eyes to find the ground dyed with the ashes of the humans. I looked around and saw that other elves were watching me with fear in their eyes, yet also with a sense of awe.
Ignoring them, I slowly put on my robe.
"Ahhhhh," Sylianner let out a satisfied sigh as she lay on top of my head.
"Even if it was your damned goddess, it felt really good to burn some humans to ashes. Even if it was so little, I feel refreshed, Elvy."
"Don't address the Goddess in such a manner, Sylianner. But I'm glad this raid satisfied your hunger for chaos."
"You know, Elvy, my hunger for chaos and destruction will never be satisfied. And this is not even an appetizer. I need more, so much more."Sylianner's satisfied smile turned into a more sadistic and darker one as her eyes blazed with purple flames.
Putting on my robes, I made my way towards Naesala, who was looking at me dumbfounded.
As I walked through the field of human ashes, the elves around me backed away out of fear, just when I thought they couldn't disappoint me any further.
"Malgath, what was that dance? It looked like something coming out of the abyss, filled with malice and hatred, but it also had a strange allure to it," Naesala said with curiosity as she got up and tilted her head to the side. It kinda looked cute.
Coming to Naesala's side, I put my right hand on her left shoulder.
"You should have honed their character along with their skills, General," I said with my voice colder than normal.
Naesala's face paled, and she looked at me disbelievingly for addressing her with her title. She opened her mouth to say something but closed it again before clenching her fist and looking at the knights. The ground beneath her cracked under her pressure.
I was actually manipulating Naesala because, while I was disappointed, I wasn't disappointed enough to act this cold and indifferent towards her after all she did for me.
She was actually an excellent general and teacher. All of the knights were especially skilled and disciplined. The only thing they lacked was experience.
I was aware that I was being petty since the knights I took with me were younger ones. They hadn't seen or experienced the suffering their forefathers went through; they had only heard about it. Because of this, they lacked the necessary experience and hatred. They only needed to taste the pleasure of slaying their enemies in the most cruel way before returning to their roots.
And I manipulated Naesala like that because while she acts like a cold and distant general, she cares deeply about the knights. She views them as her children, which could hinder their progress. Just like in this raid, from what scouts told me after I jumped to the human barracks, Naesala left her spot to kill human mages since they posed a danger to the knights. While her actions may have saved a few of her knights, it also took away the experience they were going to gain from fighting against a magic user of another race.
Leaving those words, I made my way towards my tenth.
***
Entering the tenth, I only saw Alleria. She was waiting for me inside, looking at a human hero's sword. She couldn't pick it up because it was enchanted to be wielded only by its owner. If anyone were to try, the sword would begin to heat up to the point that it would melt itself.
"What was her purpose for coming here?" I asked Alleria as I sat down on one of the chairs inside the tenth.
I didn't bother making small talk with her since she, like me, doesn't like such things. We both found such things a waste of time.
Coming to my side, Alleria sat on my lap and tried to put her head on my shoulder, just to get a kick from Sylianner, who was sitting on my shoulder.
"Get away from me, you disgusting imbecile."
Without being bothered by Sylianner, Alleria changed her position in my lap and laid her head on my other shoulder.
"Human was here because of a prophecy that a human seer gave them more than half a century ago, about the age of elves coming again and blood raining from the heavens. Things like that. But the previous human king just laughed at the seer, thinking the seer was delusional. Unlike the current human king, who takes the seer's words seriously enough to send a human hero." Alleria buried her head in my hair and lightly sniffed it with enjoyment on her face.
It seems that human gods and possibly others are suspicious of my rebirth. If they were sure of it, they would do anything in their power to send their entire race to destroy me before I could regain my power. They aren't sending their forces now because doing so could alert others who are unaware or unsure of my rebirth, causing chaos that could lead to war across the whole realm.
I need to hasten my plans and be more cautious from now on.
"Were you able to mimic her handwriting to send a message? a real message, not an encrypted one, to alarm the humans."
"My Scouts are still working on it. It's not an easy matter to copy someone else's handwriting, Malgath. As for the tracking magic you thought she may have, our mages are looking into it."
"Any other information?"
"Malgath, We can't obtain the amount of information you want this quickly, but don't worry. From now on, I will personally deal with her. However, she is a human hero, not some peasant. It will take, at best, a few days to crack her."
"Has Sylvanas returned from inspecting the dungeons?"
"No, but she sent a note with a hawk. While the mines were not in the condition we hoped for, they were still in good condition. If we go with your plan, using humans instead of elves, we can mine them and make a profit."
Surprisingly, this raid was a really good one. When I planned this raid, the only benefit was to salvage small treasures from humans and the pleasure we would get from killing them. But in addition to those, we also got our hands on a noble mermaid, three mines, and a human hero. Truly a blessing in disguise.
Picking up Alleria, who made groaning noises clearly expressing her displeasure with the little time we spent, I get up.
"Take me to the human hero," I said to Alleria as I put her down. I wanted to see how they interrogated her.
***
After walking for a while, Alleria led me to a tent. We couldn't use human houses because of two reasons. First, most of the houses were destroyed thanks to Sylianner's fireball rain. Another reason was that elves were far too tall to use human houses.
Entering inside, I saw four scouts and a human hero who was tied to a chair.
I looked at the human hero closely. Her face was basically destroyed. She had no teeth, her nose was broken, and she had cuts all over her face. Bruises had changed the color of her face.
But other than that, I didn't see anything else. No cut flesh, no missing limbs or skin.
Their interrogation method was just beating her.
I turned my head to Alleria, who was shaking her head.
"I will deal with them," Alleria said coldly as her shadow covered the entire house, causing everything to become pitch black while it swallowed the scouts.
"Call all of the healers here," I said to Alleria or where I thought Alleria was since I wasn't powerful enough. I couldn't see anything while I was inside of her shadow magic.
"Have fun, Malgath," Alleria sunk into the shadows.
With the light returning to the room, I walked over to the human hero and conjured a cold water ball on top of her, dropping it.
"(WHAT!)" she woke up with a loud shout.
"(Where am...)" she spoke with a confused expression, scanning the room until her gaze landed on me. As she looked at me, she started trembling, fear filling her eyes momentarily before she stopped and simply observed me calmly with a smirk.
"(You gonna beat me, you big bastard? Heh, come on, do your worst, if you haven't already.)" she said in her disgusting language, mocking me.
I untied her restraints and created a hook with chains out of magic. Grabbing her shoulder, I stabbed the hook through it.
"(Ahhh, that hurt, you big bastard! You are dealing with a lady, not some common whore. Be gentle)," she said, acting like she was hurt, with a mocking smile on her face despite the situation she was in.
She is calm because she is aware that she will die here. It is the end for her, and with how the scouts 'torture' her, she is thinking that all of us that mercifull, her death will be painless. A mistake she will come to regret.
Holding the chains, I looked up to see if I could wrap them around anything.
"Allow me, Elvy," Sylianner said from my shoulder as she burned the top of the tent, and a tree rose from the ground inside the tent.
"(Damn, this itty bitty little bitch got some neat tricks, hah)," the human hero even dared to mock Sylianner.
Time felt like it was slowing down as I quickly shot my hand towards my shoulder and grabbed Sylianner, who was literally about to explode.
"Let go of me, Elvy! I'm going to put a damn sun inside her and make her burn for an eternity!" Sylianner struggled to break free from my hands as I held her tightly.
"(Oh, how cute, looking at this toy-looking bitch acting all riled up. What are you going to do, doll? Burn me, hahaha)"
"LET GO OF ME," Sylianner screamed, trying to break free, which she could easily do if she wanted to, but she would destroy my hands while doing so.
"Sylianner found the moonfurry and brought the beast here while I dealt with the human," I took Sylianner out of the tent.
"(SPEAK HUMAN LANGUAGE, YOU GIBBERISH-SPOTTING, KNIFE-EARED FUCK!)" the human hero shouted behind us.
I could understand her language, but I refused to speak any tongue other than Elvish. Her mocking us actually didn't bother me much because soon it would be replaced with screams of pain.
