Chapter 14 - Queen's Valley*

Before Ye Chen was an ethereal valley, a place of enchanting beauty and charm. Nestled between two towering mountain cliffs, the valley was a small depression, bathed in a soft, ethereal glow that seemed to emanate from the very air itself.

The trees were alive with monkeys, their fur glistening in the glow as they swung lazily from branch to branch. Their chattering filled the air, a symphony of sounds that was both soothing and invigorating.

The valley was a haven for animals of all kinds. Tigers, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards roamed freely, their fierce natures tempered by the serene beauty of their surroundings. They lived in harmony with pandas and antelopes, their usual prey. It was as if the ethereal glow of the valley had cast a spell on them, making them forget their natural instincts and live as brothers.

Adding to the charm of the scene were other animals. Herds of majestic elephants, their tusks gleaming in the ethereal light, grazed peacefully. Flocks of colorful birds flitted through the air, their songs adding to the symphony of sounds. Squirrels scampered up and down the trees, their quick movements a blur in the glowy light.

The valley was evergreen, a sea of lush, vibrant foliage that stretched as far as the eye could see. At the heart of it all was a single cave, its entrance partially hidden by a curtain of vines.

When they arrived, all the animals rushed to greet them. They sniffed at Ye Chen, their eyes filled with curiosity and friendliness. Around Soo-Jin, they acted cute, their antics bringing a smile to her face. It was a sight to behold, a testament to the magical charm of the ethereal valley.

"Brother Ye, welcome to the Queens valley, here we..."

---

"Wow, Soo-Jin, your abode is truly a marvel," Ye Chen exclaimed, his eyes wide with admiration. "Your taste is impeccable, indeed."

Soo-Jin, the self-proclaimed queen of the jungle, beamed with pride. "Of course, as the reigning queen, my dwelling must reflect my stature. It may seem humble compared to a grand palace, but it's my own little paradise. And someday, I'll build a castle, a colossal fortress for me and my precious babies. It will be grandiose, magnificent, a testament to my reign," she said, her voice filled with dreams and determination.

Ye Chen, overwhelmed by her enthusiasm, interjected, "Soo-Jin, can we step inside? I'm eager to see the interior of your 'man cave'."

"Ah, my apologies, brother Ye. Please, come in," Soo-Jin invited him in with a warm smile.

Stepping inside, Ye Chen was taken aback by the grandeur that unfolded before his eyes. The walls of the cave were a masterpiece, sculpted with meticulous care and adorned with intricate designs that spoke volumes of Soo-Jin's artistic flair.

Portraits of Soo-Jin, from her tender years to her radiant adulthood, graced the walls. Each portrait was a story, a memory frozen in time, showcasing her journey alongside various animals - squirrels, lions, wolves, foxes, elephants. She stood beside them, her shiny spear in hand, her smile radiant and full of life.

On the other side of the cave, an array of fruits was arranged in perfect order. Their vibrant colors and tantalizing appearance were a feast for the eyes, making one's mouth water in anticipation.

The roof of the cave was adorned with glowing crystals that bathed the cave in a soft, ethereal light. Their origin was a mystery to Ye Chen, but their beauty was undeniable.

The floor of the cave was a canvas, with patterns depicting rivers, paths, mountains, and water bodies. It was a map, a guide to the world outside, a testament to Soo-Jin's adventurous spirit.

As Ye Chen took in the sights, he couldn't help but marvel at the paradox that was Soo-Jin. The graceful, beautiful soul depicted in the portraits seemed so different from the vivacious, spirited woman he knew. Yet, they were one and the same - a testament to the many layers of Soo-Jin's personality.

This was Soo-Jin's world, a reflection of her spirit, her dreams, her life. It was a place one would never forget, a place that left an indelible mark on one's memory. It was, indeed, a small, humble man cave, but it was also so much more. It was a home, a sanctuary, a kingdom. It was Soo-Jin's paradise.

---

"Did you create this yourself, Soo-Jin?" Ye asked, his eyes wide with disbelief. The portraits were so lifelike, he half expected them to start moving. "They're so realistic, I wouldn't be surprised if they asked me to pose for a selfie!"

Soo-Jin laughed, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Of course, Brother Ye! I'm a master of the pencil and the brush. I could sketch you right now if you'd like. But this place? It was already here. I just added a few personal touches. This cave is older than the oldest 'dad joke', but it's comfy and somehow, it makes me feel healthier."

She then launched into a long-winded tale about the history of the valley, how she stumbled upon it, and her efforts to make it her own. It was like listening to a live podcast, only without the option to skip ahead.

The place was shrouded in mystery, and Ye Chen couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more to it than met the eye. The world outside was a wasteland, a post-apocalyptic scene straight out of a movie. But here, everything was lush and green, standing out like a neon sign in a power outage.

Without wasting any time, Ye Chen turned to Xiao but the guy had already jumped to answering.

"Boss, this place feels like it's radiating energy. Like there's a hidden stash of energy drinks or something."

Xiao was already scanning in eagerness to determine the energy source in the surroundings. "Boss, this place is like an energy hotspot. It's like someone dropped a bunch of spirit wells or mana stones here in the past. It's like finding a fully charged power bank when your phone's on 1%!"
