Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: Framing and Shifting Blame

Before he finished speaking, he was directly sent flying several meters away, crashing heavily onto the ground and rolling two rounds.

The other four students were dumbfounded, dumbly watching Fyodor retract his foot, still smiling.

"Really sorry, why didn't that hit you to death just now, you stupid thing!" Fyodor's eyebrows raised as he spoke, then he glanced at another sixth-year student beside him, raising his eyebrows, "Look at your father, get out of here!"

The smirk on his face was completely different from the sincere look just now.

After all, you couldn't expect a guy who had lived in the wasteland for over thirty years to have much manners. Manners were just needs and disguises.

The few students were also frightened by Fyodor's ruthlessness, taking a few steps back in succession.

Among the five students in front of Fyodor, three were platinum-ranked, and the other two were high-ranking gold.

The one kicked by Fyodor was a platinum three-star.

With such strength in front of Fyodor, they posed no threat.

Moreover, they were magicians.

Facing a warrior like him at close range, wasn't that asking for death?

It could be said that in the narrow environment of the corridor, Fyodor didn't even need a hammer to kill them.

At this moment, the aura emanating from Fyodor was something that the delicate flowers in the academy couldn't compare to.

Moreover, Fyodor had defeated Hilda yesterday. These people combined weren't Hilda's match, let alone facing Fyodor.

They only dared to provoke Fyodor because they were in the academy, but they didn't expect Fyodor to not play by the rules at all.

At this moment, facing Fyodor, the few students retreated in fear, not daring to confront him head-on.

The blond student who was kicked by Fyodor was trembling, crawling back a few steps against the wall, then raised his hand, with ice crystals forming in his hand.

But the speed of forming this magic was as slow as a snail in Fyodor's eyes.

Actually, it wasn't slow at all; it only took half a second to form.

But in half a second, Fyodor's hand had already appeared in front of him, crushing the ice cone that had just formed but hadn't been launched yet, then he reached forward, grabbed the blond student's neck, and lifted him up with one hand.

"Let... me go... Do you know... who I am..." The blond guy grabbed Fyodor's wrist, struggling to speak.

"Do you know who I am?" Fyodor chuckled, his face full of mockery.

What, trying to show off with your background?

I can do that too, I'll make up something, believe it or not?

You won't believe it, but Fyodor's words really scared the blond guy.

He was stunned for a moment. Could it be that Fyodor really had some big background?

But Fyodor didn't give him time to think, directly shaking him, and he flew out, his face hitting the wall directly.

The other four students were trembling at the sight.

That looks painful...

The blond guy slid down from the wall, leaving streaks of blood on the white wall, and then he hunched over, covering his face, his body trembling constantly.

"My... my teeth..." He held his chin, blood on his hands, and two teeth in them. His eagle-like nose was crooked, obviously with a broken nasal bone.

Fyodor curled his lips.

He hadn't even used much force. This guy really had no combat skills at all. Just now, when he hit the wall, if he had used a magic shield, he wouldn't have lost two teeth.

"Useless, still trying to show off, idiot." Fyodor said disdainfully, then turned around and continued walking forward.

But just as he took a few steps, three ice cones suddenly attacked.

Fyodor frowned but didn't dodge. Instead, he stood still, a blue light flashing on his body.

At the moment the blue light appeared, the ice cones arrived, but they shattered upon impact with his body, as if hitting steel. Fyodor's clothes weren't even torn.

This was Fyodor's magical defense.

By releasing magic to envelop his entire body at the moment of the attack, he could greatly enhance his defense.

There was a trick to it: controlling magic with great strength, releasing and retracting it in an instant. By the time the defense was complete, the magic consumption would be minimal.

The reason Fyodor had learned this was because as his magic source continued to accumulate, his available free magic became less and less.

So he had to learn how to control magic, using the least amount of magic to accomplish attacks and defenses.

And magical defense depended on the intensity of magic. Although Fyodor was only a gold five-star, his magic intensity was far beyond what the blond guy could compare to.

After blocking this attack, Fyodor felt the cold wind behind him. He turned around to see the blond guy glaring at him with a fierce look, mumbling incoherently: "I'll kill you..."

Fyodor smiled. It seemed that some people wouldn't stop until they saw the coffin.

So he moved a bit, ready to give him a tough time.

But just then, a familiar voice suddenly came.

"Fyodor?"

"What are you guys doing?"

Fyodor was taken aback, then turned around to see Hilda standing at the top of the stairs, her brows slightly furrowed as she looked at them.

"I..." Fyodor hesitated, unsure of what to say.

However, the blond youth spoke up first.

He suppressed the magic energy around him and pointed at Fyodor, his voice trembling slightly and unclear: "This person attacked me!"

"We were walking along, and he suddenly rushed at me and used violence against me. This is clearly an assault!"

"President, I strongly demand that this man be arrested!"

Fyodor almost laughed at the absurdity of the accusation, finding the malicious charges absurd.

Hilda, obviously not easily swayed by one-sided claims, turned to Fyodor for answers.

Fyodor shrugged and responded, "The situation is roughly as he described, but he was the one who first ran into me and insulted me."

"He's lying!" the blond youth immediately retorted. "President, please don't believe him. He's just a rude thug!"

"They can testify that he attacked me first!"

Upon hearing this, Hilda scrutinized the stupefied students, who quickly realized the situation and echoed their companion's claims.

"Yes, he attacked Fyodor first!"

"He's simply crazy!"

"He nearly killed Fyodor!"

With the support of his companions, the blond youth became even more arrogant, adopting a victimized look. "President, did you hear that?"

"This damn guy must be an outsider, trespassing into the student union building. I was only trying to get him to leave, but he attacked me when I wasn't looking!"

"He must be arrested immediately!"

"This man will face the strict punishment of the laws of Gryla City!"

Fyodor watched with amusement, even reaching for a cigarette to light up before remembering they were in the academy and refraining.

Hilda's expression turned to one of concern as she turned to Fyodor, her gaze seeming to ask: How do you intend to explain this?

Fyodor casually replied, "Remember the bullies I mentioned?"

"He's one of them."

"Except this time, he picked the wrong target."

Upon hearing this, Hilda nodded in understanding, then her expression turned cold as she looked at the blond youth.

"Elder Fyodor, please mind your language," she cautioned. "Fyodor is not an outsider."

Fyodor looked puzzled. "He's not?"

Hilda explained, "He's the captain of the Student Union Security Team."

Fyodor was even more surprised. "Really?"

He turned to Hilda and found her cheeks slightly red, her fingers lightly scratching, indicating her understanding. "Indeed."

Fyodor and the others were extremely surprised, not expecting Fyodor to have such an identity, which meant he had the legal right to enter any building of Haidis Academy.

"But..." Fyodor regained his composure and attempted to explain.

Hilda interrupted firmly, "Enough, Elder Fyodor. Let's attend to your injuries first."

"You should reflect on this matter. Don't force me to investigate further!" She narrowed her eyes, staring at Fyodor.

Frightened, Fyodor stepped back two steps, glaring at Fyodor with clenched teeth. "Let's go!"

"At least clean up the wall." Fyodor interjected sarcastically.

Fyodor's figure staggered, hastening his steps.

Until Fyodor and the others disappeared at the end of the corridor, Hilda seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. Then, she turned to Fyodor and reproached him, "Why did you provoke him?"

"I didn't provoke him. I came to find you and was looking for the President's office. This kid just came running at me." Fyodor shrugged and smiled.

"The President has a keen eye, and without you, I would have been at a loss."

Hilda raised her chin proudly, then shook her head. "Fyodor is unpleasant. As you said, he bullies classmates relying on his family background, not just once."

"Just not in front of me, thinking I don't know."

"So I believe you."

Fyodor chuckled, "Truly insightful!"

"Come with me." Hilda smiled and turned to head upstairs.

Fyodor followed with Qiqi, soon arriving at the so-called President's office of the Student Union.

The room was spacious and tidy. Hilda sat on the sofa making tea while Fyodor casually took a seat, enjoying the moment as he shifted his body, admiring, "Quite comfortable. The orphanage should get one of these sofas too."

Hilda smiled, "That's a great idea."

"By the way, you just said I'm the captain of the Student Union Security Team. When did this happen? Why wasn't I aware?" Fyodor pretended to think, as if recalling an experience that never happened.

Hilda blinked, looking mischievous, "I happened to have a vacancy for the captain of the security team. If I were an outsider, Fyodor would have definitely made a big deal out of it, even if he instigated the conflict, you would still be at a disadvantage."

"So I thought of the position of captain of the Student Union Security Team, so that you wouldn't be an outsider anymore."

She looked at Fyodor with anticipation, like a little girl waiting for praise.

Fyodor generously praised, "Very clever, now Fyodor can only eat bitterness... Speaking of which, did he swallow his teeth just now?"

"Definitely not," Hilda laughed, then added seriously, "But Fyodor's father is one of the directors of Haidis Academy. He won't let this go easily."

"He may take action against you in the future, so be careful."

"If you need anything, come find me anytime. With me here, they won't dare to do anything to you."

Seeing Hilda's concerned expression, Fyodor felt warm inside and nodded, "Don't worry, they can't touch me."

"Hmm." Hilda nodded, not doubting Fyodor's abilities.

Then she asked with a smile, "So, are you interested in taking charge of student union security?"

"Of course!" Fyodor replied immediately.

This position was equivalent to a security supervisor in layman's terms. Although the authority was limited, it allowed him to freely and legally enter any building of Haidis Academy.

"What are the specific responsibilities?" Fyodor asked.

"Ensuring the safety of student union members," Hilda explained. "The student union not only has power within Haidis Academy but sometimes also deals with external affairs."

"For example, political events in Gryla City or issues at affiliated colleges."

"For instance, when student union members need to travel to other cities' affiliated colleges for exchanges or to execute academy missions, and they pass through dangerous areas, they may need your escort."

"Or when Gryla City holds commercial or political events that require Haidis Academy's participation, student union members may attend as representatives, and protection is needed."

"After all, the students of Haidis Academy are the future magicians, and the student union members are the elite. Some hostile forces or villains may take advantage of the situation."

Watching Hilda's focused explanation, Fyodor smiled.

She seemed

 even more adorable to him.

So he asked, "When you attend events, do I have to protect you?"

"Of course," Hilda nodded, then added, "But I don't need your protection. I can take care of myself."

"I don't think so," Fyodor said with a smile.

"You underestimate me again. If you don't believe it, we can have another match. I've improved a lot since yesterday!" Hilda puffed up her cheeks, saying.

"Haha, I'm glad, but we might have to postpone it a bit," Fyodor said.

"Why?" Hilda asked puzzledly. "Weren't you here to spar?"

"Not exactly," Fyodor shook his head.

"Oh..." Hilda looked a little disappointed.

Then Fyodor said, "I'm inviting you to accompany me on an investigation mission to the Nofaklason Forest."

As he spoke, he handed the mission sheet to Hilda.

Hilda took it, pleasantly surprised. "Now?!"

"Mm-hmm," Fyodor nodded. "For you, I've already completed other tasks in advance and taken on this official investigation mission from Haidis."

"Thank you!" Hilda exclaimed joyfully, immediately getting up and rushing out, looking anxious. "Wait for me here, I'll get ready and we'll leave soon!"

With that, she left briskly, her steps filled with joy.

Fyodor watched her back appreciatively, smiling.
