It was almost 10pm and Aneesh hadn't come to visit them at all, Nayra got really worried about it for no reason at all because she didn't hear from him as he'd come almost everyday to their house to spend time with them.
She picked up her phone and searched for his contact and saw that it wasn't there. Even though she's a smart girl she can be really dumb with stuffs related to her phone (especially remembering phone numbers)
But this time she remembered Aneesh's phone number somehow, when she used her brother's phone to call him she saw his phone number and memorised it.
She was amazed by herself that she managed to remember a phone number, now she can save it in her new phone she bought. This time she wasn't gonna make the mistake of not memorising phone numbers.
Amongst all those thoughts Nayra forgot about her work from home and had to stay up late to do it. It was about 12am and she was reading an email from her boss saying that now she can stay in India and attend her old workplace as the new one has been successfully established in London and now the employees are allowed to get back to their old workplaces.
Nayra jumped in happiness, even though London was a pretty place she couldn't stand being separated from her beloved family.
Finally her work was completed till 2am and she plopped on her bed and fell asleep instantly.
Next morning, she woke up at around 12pm in shock of how late she woke up, she brushed her teeth and washed her face and went to the dining table for breakfast and there Aneesh and Rishi sitting on the dining table already having their breakfast.
"Good morning Nayra" said Aneesh
"You should probably say good afternoon I guess" rishi said mockingly
"I was up late because of work alright, you don't need to make fun of me" Nayra replied to her brother who was laughing at her.
"Alright you both now don't fight like small kids" Aneesh said
"Well you must remember who was being a kiddo that day when you had to carry someone till their bed just because they couldn't wake up" rishi said while hitting Aneesh playfully and eyes pointing towards Nayra
"Oh gosh will you just shut up! I just woke up and you've already started embarrassing me over and over" Nayra said while getting angry and her face got flustered again thinking about that incident
"Well I don't really care so you don't need to worry Nayra, you're like my small sis anyways" Aneesh said to her and to lighten up the situation.
Soon nayra's mom served breakfast for nayra and her brother and Aneesh.
Even though Aneesh had called him as his lil sister he still wasn't sure about the statement he made, he might've said it under the pressure of the situation and he thought that Nayra too wouldn't see him anything more than a mere childhood friend and her brother's best friend.
Now that he realised what he said, he wished he never used that word. Before he never hated referring to her as his lil sis but now he hates it more than ever and he himself is unsure of why is that so.
On the other hand Nayra in her mind was thinking 'Did he just call me his little sister?! '
Well why am I being so shocked, it's not a great thing, I knew since ever that he might think of me as is little sister but why does it seem so unsettling than it ever seemed before.
All those thoughts went through their boths minds, but it was better to shush them for now as they both knew it wasn't the right time to come up with anything.
