Qin Fang picked up the techniques quickly, largely because of his ability to turn what he had learned into skills. Though they were beginner movements, after a few seemingly proficient repetitions, Qin Fang had already significantly mastered the routines.
After sparring briefly and simply with Fang Dacheng, experimenting with attacks and defenses, Qin Fang still ended in a complete defeat. Fortunately, it was not a fight to the death, but merely a practice session between the two, thus there was no risk of injury.
Their brief morning exercise soon came to an end. They jogged back to the dormitory from the little grove, noticing an increasing number of people along the way.
"Brothers, time to get up, let's go have breakfast..."
It was just past six o'clock, prime sleeping time for students like themselves, but they were all roused by Qin Fang and the early-rising Fang Dacheng.
