The few people in the elevator were startled.
"What's going on?!" the man called Teacher Yan asked.
"It might be that the elevator is broken." The female assistant's voice carried a hint of panic.
She threw herself against the elevator doors and banged hard, "Is anyone there? Is there anyone outside?!"
No sooner had her words ended than the elevator made another loud noise, shaking violently.
The female assistant let out a scream of fright, raising her hand to bang on the door again, but a small hand gripped her wrist tightly.
"Don't bang on the doors like that," Ruan Qi pulled her aside, "The elevator has been shaken; it'll only break faster."
Female Assistant: "But, but we..."
"Lean with your back against the wall and don't move around," Ruan Qi interrupted her and then pressed the emergency call button.
There was no response.
The young girl frowned and pressed it again.
Still no response.
