Qi Cheng had the housekeeper call for a driver to send Xie Xingwei away.
As soon as the housekeeper and Ms. Xingwei left, he walked over and sat down next to Ji Yunhuan.
Ji Yunhuan focused seriously on her breakfast, not saying a word to him. It seemed like she didn't care at all that he had driven Ms. Xingwei away.
"I thought you would be grateful to me for this," he said, curling his lips as he took the initiative to speak with her.
Ji Yunhuan glanced at him indifferently. "She's your woman. How you treat her is your business."
In truth, she should have been glad that he didn't treat her like Ms. Xingwei and make her his lover.
Actually, he could have done that. But why didn't he?
This perplexity lingered in Ji Yunhuan's mind. She had pondered for a long time but couldn't figure out why Qi Cheng would marry her.
Clearly, marrying her brought him no benefit at all.
Could he be an angel sent by God?
