Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 The Most Honorable Mr. Qi_1

"Someone, get her!" Gu Xinran ordered angrily.

Damn Ji Yunhuan. She actually dared to humiliate her in front of so many people! She would never let this woman go!

Not far away, a few men watched the scene. One of them said, "Even though the Ji Family went bankrupt, every time I see Ji Yunhuan, she is still the same. Look at her, even though she's dressed poorly, it doesn't affect her beauty at all. If she weren't Gu Yubai's fiancée, I would want to marry her!"

Such noble and high-class temperament could absolutely overshadow all the women present today. She looked like a natural queen, particularly attractive in men's eyes!

The other men deeply agreed with him, except for one person who remained silent.

Seeing him silent, someone asked, "Young Master Qi, what do you think?"

With slender fingers holding a wine glass, Qi Cheng's gaze fell lightly on Ji Yunhuan, who was being grabbed by Gu Xinran's order. She stood there, neither humbling nor panicking, seemingly unafraid of any of it.

He raised the corners of his mouth. "Not bad at all!"

Yet his gaze was deep and meaningful.

It was the first time he saw her, and her proud eyes made him involuntarily think of himself.

If she were still Ms. Ji of the Ji Family, she wouldn't be so downcast, right?

Suddenly, he felt some sympathy for her deep in his heart.

At this moment, Gu Yubai walked over and politely greeted Qi Cheng, "Uncle."

Qi Cheng was only a few years older than Gu Yubai. Being called uncle didn't make him happy at all. He frowned and reminded, "Nephew Yubai, I'm not that old!"

Despite this, Gu Yubai was very respectful towards him.

Previously, the Ji Family was on good terms with the Gu Family. After the Ji Family collapsed, the Gu Family not only wasn't affected but also prospered. This was all due to the influence of their distant relative, Qi Cheng.

In other words, without Qi Cheng, the Gu Family might have already been ruined because of the Ji Family's involvement.

Qi Cheng rarely appeared on such occasions. Today being Mrs. Gu's birthday, he made a rare appearance. This made Mrs. Gu's birthday party particularly lively, and those around him were trying to ingratiate themselves with him.

In City A, everyone knew of "Mr. Qi." He always lived a reclusive life. Few people had seen him, and they thought he was cold and indifferent. But today, they realized he was more gentle than expected; however, his naturally domineering aura couldn't be ignored.

Someone teased Gu Yubai, "Your fiancée is fighting with your sister. Aren't you going to help?"

Of course, Gu Yubai had already noticed the scene. Looking at Ji Yunhuan, he knew she probably couldn't handle Gu Xinran now. He didn't want her to lose face in such a place. But remembering her capricious behavior upstairs earlier, he decided to let her suffer a bit.

Gu Yubai smiled and said, "It's not that I don't want to help, but my fiancée has always been strong-willed and proud. If I help her, she might even resent me."

No one present doubted his words. Ji Yunhuan was known for her strong character. What Gu Yubai said made sense and might indeed be the case.

Gu Yubai didn't care how others saw him. His gaze fell on Qi Cheng, who looked indifferent, making Gu Yubai feel a bit guilty.

After the Ji Family's collapse, few people wanted to get involved with them. Ji Yunhuan was still his fiancée, and he was afraid Qi Cheng would blame him, so he quickly said, "The engagement with Yunhuan was a thing of the past. In fact, we canceled it long ago, so everyone shouldn't overthink."

Even if Ji Yunhuan didn't agree to cancel the engagement, looking at her embarrassing state now, he deeply felt she was disgracing him and simply denied it.

Ji Yunhuan was tightly held by the people Gu Xinran called over. Gu Xinran said, "Hold her tight. Don't let her move. Today, I don't believe this!"

She picked up a wine bottle beside her and walked step by step toward Ji Yunhuan, pouring the full bottle of wine over her head. The cold liquid kept dripping, gradually seeping into Ji Yunhuan's beige dress. In the sunlight, her figure became faintly visible. Ji Yunhuan struggled but found herself held firmly.

She was no longer Ms. Ji. In the past, if someone splashed her, the person would never dare retaliate. But today...

"Gu Xinran!" she gritted her teeth and said word by word, "Remember today!"

Gu Xinran looked at Ji Yunhuan with eyes full of murderous intent and said contemptuously, "I will remember it well. What, do you want to take revenge? Do you think you have the chance now?"

After speaking, she told her people to release Ji Yunhuan. "Hurry up and get lost! Today, everyone will remember your current miserable state!"

The wet clothes were somewhat cold, but what made Ji Yunhuan even angrier was the humiliation Gu Xinran gave her. The mocking gazes made her almost hide in shame.

She looked at the triumphant Gu Xinran, a sneer emerging in her eyes. Although it was just a glance, it made Gu Xinran feel uneasy: this woman...

Clearly, she had nothing left. She suffered such a great humiliation, yet she could still look at her so proudly?

She coldly ordered the servants, "Hurry up and drive her out, so she doesn't get in everyone's way."

Ji Yunhuan said, "I can walk out myself!"

She lifted her foot and walked out.

Just when everyone didn't know whether to praise Gu Xinran's bravery or pity Ji Yunhuan, a noble figure walked towards the mocked Ji Yunhuan.

He wrapped his removed suit jacket around Ji Yunhuan. Ji Yunhuan was stunned. She looked up and saw a pair of dark eyes.

His pupils were deep black, observing her, and his hands wrapping the clothes around her were quite forceful.

She didn't understand why he was helping her. Sympathy was something Ji Yunhuan didn't need! She coldly tried to push him away but didn't succeed. He seemed to have anticipated her struggle and didn't give her a chance to refuse.

Everyone present was shocked by this scene, including Gu Xinran and Gu Yubai. Gu Xinran quickly walked over and said, "Qi Cheng, you..."

Though she was Gu Yubai's sister, she smartly didn't address Qi Cheng like her brother did. Qi Cheng had no deep blood ties with the Gu Family. He was a distant relative at best. Holding a bit of fantasy for Qi Cheng in her heart, she definitely didn't want to refer to him as uncle. So she called him by name directly.

Originally, she wanted to question why Qi Cheng helped Ji Yunhuan. But seeing Qi Cheng's serious gaze when he turned around, Gu Xinran quickly reflected on herself and apologized, "I was wrong. I shouldn't have been so excessive. But you really don't need to pity her. A woman like her doesn't need pity!"

"I don't need anyone to tell me what to do." Qi Cheng said indifferently and walked out with Ji Yunhuan.
