An Ning did not answer but counter-asked, "Do you have anything worth my wild thoughts?"
"Of course not," Yu Jingchen said with an open face.
An Ning smiled at him. "Then why did you ask me if I had any wild thoughts?"
Yu Jingchen's pale face looked at her. "With such a serious injury, can you really sleep soundly at night?"
An Ning silently cursed herself; that's what he was referring to. "You're not in serious trouble; of course, I slept well."
Her tone was nonchalant.
Yu Jingchen lifted his finger and gently traced her tired eyes. "At such a young age, you already have dark circles, yet you say you slept well?"
"I specifically did a smoky makeup look."
"Then why are your eyes red?" Yu Jingchen captured her chin, making her face him.
"I wore contact lenses yesterday; they probably irritated my eyes," An Ning said, still unconcerned, as she continued her task, pouring out the chicken soup.
