Flames swept across the sky, with red light continuously flashing. The flames, along with the Scarlet Mist, were all absorbed by the Water-Fire Mirror.
Soon, the Scarlet Mist inside the cave was swept away, leaving nothing behind. After the mist had been gathered, Carson Flores quickly stored the Water-Fire Mirror into his Space Ring, as if the Mirror was about to be corroded and become too hot to handle.
"Will it break?" asked Kash Lam.
Carson Flores shook his head, "Don't know; we'll see later. Staying alive is more important right now."
A sigh of relief escaped everyone as the crisis was temporarily averted.
Because of Carson Flores's words and actions, everyone subconsciously thought that the Water-Fire Mirror was corroded, probably ruined, and their own little schemes regarding it faded considerably.
