"Raphael Schneider!"
Leonard Reid's gaze was icy cold, the chilling intent of murder nearly palpable, "Yesterday you promised with certainty that the acupuncture would cure the illness, then later you mentioned some persistent internal heat that requires rest for a night. Now, what do you have to say for yourself?"
Raphael Schneider's complexion was pale, his eyes haggard. He was no longer the confident man full of vigor from the night before.
The child was still crying incessantly, her voice completely hoarse.
Only when exhaustion from crying took over did she manage to sleep for a bit last night, but she soon awoke again in terror, resuming her cries, the cycle repeating throughout the night.
Raphael Schneider had tried every method he could think of, but all his efforts were in vain.
"Mr. Reid, I am incompetent. At this point, there's nothing left for me to say."
